Actress Rose McGowan lashed out against Joe Biden and Democrats in general just moments after Biden accepted the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination on Thursday, August 20, saying Americans elected President Donald Trump "because of you motherf*****s." “You are the season of darkness. @JoeBiden @DNC You are monsters. You are frauds. You are the lie,” McGowan told her over 945,000 Twitter followers.

The 'Jawbreaker' star was referring to Biden's acceptance speech during the final night of the Democratic National Convention. Biden, in his speech, promised to be "an ally of the light and not the darkness" and told Americans "united we can, and overcome" this season of darkness, Breitbart reported. McGowan proceeded to rail against the entire Democratic Party establishment over its apparent failure to solve problems for poor people, minorities, and children.

“What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING? Help the poor? No. Help Black & Brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help single mothers? No. Help children? No. You have achieved nothing. NOTHING,” the 'Charmed' star declared. “Why did people vote Trump? Because of you motherf*****s.”

McGowan, who was previously a fervent critic of the Trump administration, turned her guns on the Democrats after recent revelations. She has been one of the few Hollywood figures to call out Biden over sexual assault allegations brought on by his former staffer Tara Reade, albeit he has denied any wrongdoing. In April, McGowan demanded Biden end his presidential bid as part of the #DropOutBiden campaign.

That said, the 'Scream' star was also not too happy with Biden's VP pick Kamala Harris, whom she slammed over a past controversy earlier this month. Taking to Twitter on August 12, McGowan accused the 55-year-old of taking money from convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein. She tagged Harris and asked her: “Did you return the money Weinstein gave you? @SenKamalaHarris How many predators bankroll you?" while retweeting a post by Jeffrey St Clair, the editor of CounterPunch.

“It's hard to say which is more revealing of the fatal rot at the core of American politics, the fact that Trump and his daughter sent checks to Harris' campaigns or that Harris greedily cashed them,” St Clair wrote while sharing Matt Viser, a Washington Post editor’s tweet that stated that Trump and his daughter Ivanka gave money to Harris for her California attorney general re-election campaign in 2014.

In April, McGowan went after Democrats and media outlets New York Times and Washington Post, calling them a "cult" and describing their apparent silence on Biden's sexual assault accusations as "deeper than a cover-up." The 'Planet Terror' star went against Democrat lawmakers who had either ignored or rebuked allegations made by former Senate staffer Tara Reade, who claims the presumptive presidential nominee sexually assaulted her nearly three decades ago, Breitbart reported.

McGowan tweeted a letter saying she had lost faith in Democrats and media outlets such as the New York Times and The Washington Post. “I’m really sad, and I’m really tired. I normally share thoughts, but tonight it’s emotion," she wrote alongside the post.

“I used to be a proud Democrat. I used to be a proud American. I would have died for this damned country and its ideals. I was raised to be a proud Democrat...,” McGowan said in her letter. “...And I was always told it was the Democratic Party that were the good guys, that our papers were New York Times & the Washington Post and we as a family loved listing to All Things Considered and we’d talk about how much we loved Ira Glass’ voice,” she explained. “But now I know too much. And I feel really quite a sense of loss tonight.”

“I am not a cynical person, but America goddamn,” the #MeToo activist continued. “Republicans have always been painted as the bad guys, and I’ve always seen them more as a cult, but now I realize so are the Democrats and the media. Macro and micro. This is deeper than a cover-up. And I’m sad because there’s death around all corners and shadows in the daytime. It hurts.”

The fiery letter came just days after McGowan had first called on Biden to end his presidential campaign over Reade's accusations. “Fellow citizens, use your power, use your social media voice,” she urged her fans. “Tweet at Joe Biden to end his campaign effective immediately.”
