NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Thursday, October 12, Florida Governor and 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis reportedly signed an Executive Order directing Florida resources to assist with rescue efforts in Israel as 20,000 Americans remain trapped there, as per The Daily Wire.

DeSantis assigned the responsibility of organizing chartered flights for Floridians who were still in Israel to the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM).

Following this event, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to provide more information on the Governor's signing of the executive order.

However, the internet did not respond positively to Hannity's tweet and brutally slammed DeSantis.

Fox News Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “DeSANTIS: "We will not leave our residents behind. To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way."

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from its official website titled, “'HELP IS ON THE WAY': DeSantis Signs Executive Order for Rescue Ops in Israel.”

As per The Daily Wire, DeSantis assigned the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) the responsibility of coordinating chartered flights for Floridians still in Israel.

FDEM was additionally addressing the logistical aspects of delivering supplies to Israel, which is currently engaged in a full-scale conflict against Palestinian militants responsible for the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis and at least 27 Americans.

Numerous individuals sustained injuries in the attacks, with over 100 individuals being abducted, and many others still unaccounted for.

Escaping Israel has proved challenging for Americans due to the cancellation of commercial airline operations, a result of the deteriorating security situation in the region.

Additionally, in the executive order, DeSantis said, “The Biden administration has failed to launch any form of rescue or evacuation operations for Americans, including Floridians, stranded in the region, and has failed to provide information requested by the State of Florida about any plans for such operations.”

2024 GOP candidate also took to his Twitter to share this with his followers as he wrote, “Today I signed an executive order authorizing rescue operations in Israel to bring Floridians home and transport supplies to our allies. We will not leave our residents behind. To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way.”

Internet says Ron DeSantis is 'bought and paid for'

After Sean Hannity reported on Ron DeSantis signing an executive order to send rescue ops in Israel for thousands of stranded Americans, the internet took a brutal jab at the governor.

One person wrote, mockingly distorting DeSantis’s remarks, “DeSANTIS: "We will not leave our residents behind, especially if they're current or potential donors to my campaign. As far as other Americans in Israel, well, they'll likely woke, or book smart, or gay, or Disneyphiles, so they're on their own.”

Another said, “More performance art from Meatball,” and one slammed DeSantis for sending in rescue ops only for Floridians, “Just Floridians, Ron?”

A person simply said, “I don't believe him. He's taken too much from the radical left. He is bought and paid for.”

A fifth person added, “We don't need DeSantis for any of that. His only reason to declare an emergency is so he can pull funds from that emergency preparedness account,” and further asked, “Do we get an accounting?”

Another wrote, “DeSantis orders Florida to charter a few flights and calls it a “rescue operation” lol. DeSantis is a bum.”
