Ron DeSantis slammed after Fox News anchor Sean Hannity shares clip of him pledging to use 'deadly force' at border
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Sean Hannity posted a recent interview of Ron DeSantis with ‘CBS Evening News’ host Norah O’Donnell on Wednesday, September 13, in which the Florida Governor reportedly claimed of using "deadly force" to stop cartels at the border.
This came after the GOP candidate recently pledged to send US Special Forces into Mexico to confront drug cartels if he is elected POTUS. During the GOP presidential debate, when asked if he would support sending Special Forces into Mexico, DeSantis answered, "Yes, and I will do it on day one."

In the article from Hannity, there is a clip of an interview where O’Donnell questions DeSantis, "Would you commit US troops to taking out these Mexican cartels?" to which he replied, "We are going to lean in, and we are going to defend our country."
DeSantis continued, "And so I was at the border in Arizona. So there was one part where there was a stretch of wall. These guys are working on the base of the wall. I'm like, what are you doing? They're like, well, we're repairing it. I'm like, what happened? The cartels can cut through."
"I mean, these are big steel beams, and they're cutting through, and yet they're being allowed to come into our country. They got backpacks on with Fentanyl and all this stuff. So in those situations, yes, we will have deadly force authorized," added the Florida Governor.
When O’Donnell further asked, "Would you send missiles into Mexico?" DeSantis said, "We would use all available tactics, I think, can be debated. If you have something you want to accomplish, people will brief you on the different ways to be able to do it. So that would be dependent on the situation."
