Building homes is no easy feat; it's a job best left to the experts. But what do the experts do when they're looking for a challenge themselves? Join the cast of Season 2 of 'Rock The Block'!
While Season 1 saw an all-female cast of designers compete against each other, Season 2 features eight of HGTV's biggest names in home renovation and design, as they pair up in teams of two to completely transform identical three-story suburban properties in just one month. With a budget of $225,000 and just a month to get it all done, these duos have a lot on the line, including major bragging rights and a chance to have a street named after them!
For a design show featuring some of HGTV's most iconic names in the home makeover scene, it goes without saying that the Season 2 host would have to pack just as much star power. And who better to take on that role than the expert craftsman and designer Ty Pennington. The Emmy Award-winning host has starred in a wide range of reality shows, such as Trading Spaces', 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, 'On the Menu' and 'American Diner Revival' among others. He has also authored two books, 'Good Design Can Change Your Life' and ' Ty’s Tricks', which is a New York Times Bestseller.

Contractor and host Mike Holmes is a household name, thanks to his show, 'Holmes on Homes'. On his show, Holmes 'believes in doing a job right the first time and is making it his mission to expose poor, substandard workmanship in the building industry with his internationally successful show Holmes on Homes.
