Students horrified as teacher feeds live puppy to snapping turtle saying he was 'doing the right thing'
Preston Junior High School science teacher Robert Crosland fed a small puppy to the turtle in front of students who said that the puppy fought for its life before it was eaten
An Idaho school teacher, who was charged with animal cruelty after feeding a live puppy to a snapping turtle, has been found not guilty. Preston Junior High School science teacher Robert Crosland had fed a small puppy to the turtle in front of students who reportedly said that the puppy fought before he was eaten.
Crosland had been charged with the crime in June. In a statement at the time, Preston School District 201 Superintendent Marc Gee had said that it was "a regrettable circumstance" and that "the event occurred well after students had been dismissed and was not a part of any school-directed program".
