Wife Brandy recalls horrifying incident
At around 9 pm, Dennis and Brandy were going back home after spending the day in Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. KPTV reported that another driver got agitated while on the highway and passed them.
However, their ordeal was far from over. Brandy recalled how at one point, the car tried to run them off the road. "They were driving up on the back of us close, driving into oncoming traffic and trying to veer towards us and send us into the forest," Brandy said.
It was at this point, Brandy said, they decided to pull over and call 911. Dennis stepped out of the vehicle, while Brandy dialled 911. The car which was chasing them pulled over and started shooting indiscriminately.
According to Brandy, she was in her seatbelt and "couldn't get out of my seat fast enough and there was a lot of shooting." KOIN.com reported that Dennis died on the scene. Meanwhile, Brandy is in a state of shock and is yet to come to terms that her partner of 20 years is "not coming home." The couple have three children together.
