CW’s popular teen drama show ‘Riverdale’ loosely based on the popular comic series Archies features a lot of gangs and drama. Almost every resident of the town is affiliated to some gang or the other. While there are old and established gangs like South-side serpents, there are also new gangs formed when members are kicked out of their old gang like Pretty Poisons. We caught up with one of the members of the Pretty Poisons - Peaches ‘N’ Cream, played by the beautiful Bernadette Beck. In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), she discusses her role in the show, her experience of being a part of the ‘Riverdale’ family, and her upcoming projects.

If you are a ‘Riverdale’ fan then you would know that when our femme fatale Cheryl Blossom and her girlfriend Toni are kicked out of Southside Serpents, they end up forming their own group - Pretty Poisons. One of the key members of the group is Peaches ‘N’ Cream. Her character is as quirky and sassy as her name. Actress Bernadette, who plays the role, describes her as, “powerful and sassy." Peaches goes to Riverdale High School and has had a pretty rough past. Her mother who runs a pawn shop in Riverdale once had her shop ransacked by the Southside Serpents, so she holds deep-seated hatred towards the Serpents. Bernadette is quick to add that “Peaches has a good heart and will always fight for the people she believes in.”

In season 3, we see a showdown between Pretty Poisons and Southside Serpents, when Cheryl and Peaches ambush Sweet Pea and Fangs and attack them. So, we asked Bernadette if we would ever see them putting aside their differences for the greater good of the town. She immediately points out that the gangs were forced to come to a truce in one of the episodes when both the gangs try to stop the Gargoyle King.

When we ask her about her favorite scene from season 3, she says, “There are so many! I’m going to go with a scene from Chapter Fifty-One: Big Fun… I’m thinking “Beautiful,” with all the core student cast members. It was a heartfelt scene to shoot. The scene took two days to shoot because we did it in pieces. We put so much love and passion into that number. Viewers reached out to say that they could relate to the characters more because of it." She describes her whole experience of being a member of the show as “an adventure”, and reveals that she connects with her fellow cast members over stories of their pre-‘Riverdale’ days. She also says that she feels grateful and blessed for having the opportunity to work with such a talented cast and crew.

In case you’re wondering what’s in store for Peaches ‘N’ Cream in the upcoming season, then here’s your answer straight from Bernadette. “The writing room is focusing more on student-life this season. This means more parties and more scenes at Riverdale High School. I don’t know the specifics yet, but it seems like Peaches will be a part of the student dynamic.”

We finally ask the talented actress if she has any other new projects in the pipeline, and she shares a bunch of them. “I just guest-starred on this upcoming Freeform series called “Motherland: Fort Salem”, which releases March 2020. It has a fascinating concept, where the story is set in a women-dominated world. I also finished a spot on the Audience Network series “You Me Her,” for their fifth and final season. The comedy series will also air sometime in 2020. So, some exciting new projects ahead!”

'Riverdale' season 4 will premiere on CW on October 10, 2019.
