'Riverdale' season 4: FP Jones and Alice Cooper might just end up getting married
In all of its trailers and promos, 'Riverdale' season 4 has promised some steamy romance and it isn't just between the teens. Alice Cooper (Mädchen Amick) and FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich), Betty and Jug's mum and dad had an intense relationship back in the day but eventually ended up going their own ways. FP is a changed man these days. From a raging alcoholic to the leader of the Serpents and now the sheriff of Riverdale, the man has come a long way indeed. Alice too has had her twists and turns. After leading a very disturbed personal life, an equally demanding professional career, she is now missing after she became an informant for the FBI and went undercover trying to expose The Farm for being a nefarious cult.
The couple had their steamy moment in season 3 but it was rather short-lived and season 4 may look at the duo sparking the embers of romance again. While she was largely absent in the season opener, 'Falice' as fans have named the couple will be reuniting at some point in the show. Fueling this theory of getting back together will be Amick's thoughts to comicbook during the New York Comic-Con.
"I think I was actually pleasantly surprised that we get some really good FP and Alice scenes," Amick said. "We get to really explore a relationship — you know, because that’s been teased and simmered for so long — and then it’s really nice to see the core four back together and doing a lot of stuff together and doing a lot of stuff in the high school. I think that was the magic of the first season, so it’s nice to see that back together."
The trailer released during NYCC too showed the couple sharing a romantic moment and who knows, they might even get hitched by the end of the season. The marriage doesn't really come as a surprise as we have already seen that before in the teen drama when Martin Cummins's Sheriff Keller and Sierra McCoy (Robin Givens) get married and had their children's blessings. With Hal Cooper effectively dead and Jug's mother not really bothered about her relationship with FP, they just might exchange rings. At this stage, it is safe to speculate that neither Jug nor Betty will have any issue with it either. They do have enough to deal with anyway.
