'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City': Bravo show's trailer disappoints fans who call it 'most mediocre ever'
When Andy Cohen announced that a new city would be added to the hit 'Real Housewives' franchise, everybody was excited wondering which city would be featured on Bravo's popular reality series. Later, when it was revealed that Salt Lake City, Utah, would be the latest addition, fans were left feeling intrigued. They wondered what it would be like to see Mormon housewives and their interesting lifestyle.
For the longest time, Bravo managed to keep the details of the upcoming show under wraps. Finally, they released a trailer, which gave us a peek into the drama that waited for us, while introducing all the housewives who would be starring on it. The brief 90 seconds clip saw the housewives introducing themselves and stating their religion, while the snippets from the show were played alongside their introduction.
The housewives who will be appearing on 'RHOSLC' are Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose and Jen Shah. The trailer opens with Heather's voice in the background saying, "Perfection is attainable", before declaring that she's a 'purebred pioneer Mormon'. We are then introduced to Lisa, who declares that she is 'Mormon by choice'. Meredith, who isn't a Mormon, introduces herself as a Jew from Chicago. Whitney adds that she is no longer a Mormon. Jen too joins in Whitney, as she declares that she's converting to Islam. Mary says she's Pentecostal.
Now that we are familiar with the new housewives' religious beliefs and names, the trailer proceeds to show us some highlights and explosive moments. In the trailer, we can see some bubbling tension between the ladies. Meredith is shown telling the ladies, "there’s a lot of misrepresentation of who is friends with who in this circle,” in the trailer. Heather and Whitney discuss "homewrecker" before Whitney reveals that Lisa thought she was a "swinger". Heather then asks Whitney if she thinks she’s a “homewrecker,” to which she replies, “Lisa accused me of being a swinger."
Generally, after watching the trailer, fans are pumped to watch the show. But the 'RHOSLC' trailer didn't leave them impressed. A fan tweeted, "Did anyone ask for a #RHOSLC? Never seen a more mediocre trailer for a franchise EVER."
