Fans of 'RHOP' slammed Candiace Dillard Bassett for averting the legal dispute with Michael Darby

POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Ashley Darby's former husband, Michael Darby, sued Candiace Dillard Bassett for statements she made on Season 7 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac,' according to court records acquired by TMZ in March 2023.

When Candiace was requested to address the subject again in the most recent episode of Season 8, people were outraged because she refused, despite openly addressing Juan Dixon's legal challenges.

"Your husband likes to leave you and go to a man named [bleep]'s house to suck his d—k," Candiace explained on the show. Michael is suing for $2 million in compensation.

On the December 10 episode of 'RHOP', the cast on their trip to Austin asked for an update on the Candiace-Michael case, which the Housewife denied commenting on.

Meanwhile, the episode addressed Juan's ongoing lawsuit regarding his former job in detail, bringing Robyn Dixon to tears.

On X, fans pointed it out noting, "To be exceptionally fair, Candiace SHOULD NOT talk about that lawsuit on camera, and Robyn is being dense since Juan’s name is in a negligence suit right now."

Another user chimed in, "So let me get this straight. They wanted Robyn to give them ALL the tea about her and Juan, but we can’t get more details about Michael suing Candiace, something that technically involves TWO members of the cast? The double standard is double standarding."

One user tweeted, "Candiace telling Robyn to stop being dense was a ki, cause really!? Juan did get dropped from his lawsuit but that doesn’t mean it’s not dumb af to talk about any suit on camera. If Candiace says anything about Michael it won’t be good so it’s better she not say anything."
