Fans were looking forward to spending the quarantine season bingeing on various ‘Real Housewives’ franchises. With ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ and ‘Real Housewives of New York’ already on air, they felt that the addition of ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ would be cherry on the cake. So when Bravo too announced that Season 5 of ‘RHOP’ would premiere on May 3, they were over the moon. The excitement was shortlived for the network recently announced that they have pushed back the premiere of Season 5 to “late summer” without sharing any details of the release date.

When fans began questioning the network’s decision to postpone the release date of their beloved ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, executive producer Andy Cohen himself came forward with an explanation. He said, “The virus has shifted production schedules for all our show. There are currently two great Housewives series running. Would rather have fresh content later than none."

‘RHOP’ fans were looking forward to catching up on the legendary Monique Samuels-Candiace Dillard fight, which was set to be shown this season. The housewives were in news last October when they two got into a huge brawl while filming the show. Both the housewives filed charges against each other and things got very messy before the charges were dropped in December.

When fans heard that they might have to wait a little longer to witness the epic fight, they took to Twitter to express their displeasure over the show’s release being postponed, and also blamed coronavirus for causing havoc. A fan tweeted, “Ugh, I was really looking forward to #RHOP!!! "Real Housewives of Potomac": Season 5 Premiere Pushed to Summer Due to Coronavirus Pandemic.”

Another fan wrote, “No #RHOP till summer???? I HATE CORONA.” “Me rn that #RHOP season 5 has been postponed .... this Rona has officially ruined everything I hold dear in this life,” declared an agitated fan.

A fan expressed, “Man I'm hurt right now after hearing that #rhop was being postponed...” Another fan shared “#RHOP has been postponed I have been looking forward to the premiere for M O N T H S and after that TRASH ASS #RHOA finale???? Do better, Bravo. We need this drama right now! Directly to the veins!!”

“Me writing an email to Bravo with 12 exclamation points complaining about #RHOP being postponed in addition to BCC’ing @candeegal,” wrote a fan. “Potomac is postponed.... the light is truly fading. Someone hold me. #rhop @BravoTV,” commented a fan.
