RHONY star Ramona Singer luckily escapes 4-car accident with just minor bruises
Ramona Singer, who is known for her role in Real Housewives of New York, got into a huge car accident over the weekend, according to a report by TMZ. The reality star was traveling along the Montauk Highway when the collision took place, as per reports.
According to the publication, Singer allegedly rear-ended a Mazda while driving her Maserati, all of which resulted in a 4-car accident with Ramona all the way in the back. However, a source at the media outlet confirmed that the actress did not suffer any serious injuries despite the magnitude of her car accident. She was rushed to the hospital immediately after the incident took place, where she was treated for bruises and minor pains before being released.
A source at Page Six revealed that after the accident the reality TV star was spotted on the side of the road “talking on her phone and was visibly annoyed” post her accident. And it was pretty much evident that she wasn't hurt much following the incident. According to a source close to the TV star, "Ramona was shaken and upset" after the accident, but the good news is that "everyone walked away fine and no one was badly hurt," as reported by E! News.
The terrifying incident comes days after Singer was spotted in a wheelchair due to an ill-fated trip she took with her fellow co-stars Bethenny Frankel, Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley in February.
The cast members of RHONY had taken a group trip to Colombia, where they had ridden a boat to Cartagena, according to a report by Page Six. However, the boat ride turned into a scary one, when the vessel’s engine caught fire. According to the publication, “They all thought they were going to die and they were hysterical.” An insider later told the outlet, “[They] were soaked and screaming hysterically.”
Later on, a spokesperson from the network issued an official statement about the whole incident and confirmed that everyone on the boat is doing just fine and that there were no damages after the accident.
“On the return trip to the mainland, the boat encountered turbulent water, which caused the anchor to deploy unexpectedly,” a spokesperson for the network later explained. “At no time was the vessel in danger of sinking, nor was a rescue required. Thankfully, everyone is fine. The safety of our cast and crew is paramount and, to that end, we are still reviewing the situation.”
According to a source, the cast was told that they would board a 5-star yacht but the vessel was "old, beaten up and falling apart," according to People. "There were no amenities, no food, and a crew that didn’t know what they were doing. I mean, the anchor had to be sawed off before they even departed because it was so rusty and tangled. That’s how bad this was!" the source added.
Even before the ship's engine caught fire, the cast members had to deal with the turbulent weather. According to Page Six, the seats "and other things on board that weren’t nailed down started flying about."
Although the experience was scarring, it made the cast members get closer to each other in such a distressing time. "Any feuds that have been carrying through the season were thrown aside. They’re furious with production for putting them in that situation to begin with,” the source added.
