'RHONJ' Reunion: Teresa dubbed as 'garbage' for claiming Melissa and she aren't 'close'

After demanding loyalty and respect from her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga for over two decades while harping on about how family is everything, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' fans were pretty surprised when Teresa Giudice declared that Melissa and she weren't that 'close'. 

The recently aired part one of the three-part Season 12 reunion of 'RHONJ', featured Teresa dropping this shocking piece of information when the reunion's host Andy Cohen began discussing her recent engagement to Luis Ruelas and her marriage plans. It began with addressing Teresa's close friend and fellow housewife Dolores Catania's absence fat the event. Dolores informed that she wasn't invited to Teresa's engagement party. While she claimed that she wasn't angry or upset over not being invited, she, however, admitted to feeling hurt whenever people asked her about it.

Teresa simply brushed it away by explaining that only couples were invited to her engagement party. Andy then brought up a recent statement that Teresa had made during her appearance on his talk show 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'. She told Andy that her sister-in-law Melissa wouldn't be her bridesmaid at her wedding. Melissa didn't take any offense to it as she believed that Teresa would be enlisting her daughters to be her bridesmaids. But when Melissa later learned that Teresa asked her future sister-in-laws to be her bridesmaids at the wedding, she was left feeling hurt and upset.

Teresa once again tried to wriggle out of the sticky situation by claiming that Melissa and she weren't 'close', while on the other hand, she was really tight with her future sister-in-laws. When Melissa tried reminding Teresa that they were family and that she had her back for over 20 years, Teresa just shrugged it off by trying to question her friendship with Margaret Josephs and bringing up past issues. Though Teresa remained unbothered by her decision to exclude Melissa from being her bridesmaid, fans however were put off by the oG housewife's behavior.

Several fans took to Twitter to call out Teresa for talking down to Melissa. A fan tweeted, "Honey Teresa is showing her true colors at this reunion. I feel so bad for Melissa and Delores that's supposed to be really close to Teresa and Teresa acting like they don't even exist. #RHONJ #RHONJreunion." "So Tre says that she and Melissa aren’t close, yet she demands blind loyalty (and shows none) cause they’re “family!” #RHONJreunion," echoed a fan. "Teresa and Melissa aren’t “close,” but they’re close enough that Melissa is supposed to take up for her every second of every day. Got it. #RHONJ #RHONJreunion," seconded a fan. Some fans even advised Melissa and Joe to cut ties with Teresa. A fan shared, "#RHONJreunion #RHONJ Teresa doesn't care about her brother or family. Melissa and Joe need to get away from the trainwreck Teresa." "If I were Joe and Melissa after hearing her TOTALLY disrespecting them like she does, I'd wash my hands of her once and for ALL!
