Joe Gorga complains his nieces don't call him, 'RHONJ' fans say he's the 'adult'
Just like any other siblings duo, Teresa Giudice and her brother Joe Gorga have always had their fair share of highs and lows, which has been well documented on 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'. Despite their many differences, both Joe and Teresa made it a point to never drag their children into their fights. But now that Teresa's daughters are all grown up and aware of tensions in their family, the girls, especially Teresa's oldest daughter Gia Giudice was unhappy with her uncle.
Gia was upset with Joe because he spoke badly about their father Joe Giudice and was disrespectful towards him. Gia felt that they were all owed an apology by their uncle. Just like Teresa's daughters, Joe too was upset with his nieces because they "never called him". On the premiere episode of 'RHONJ' season 12 Joe could be seen complaining to his wife Melissa Gorga about how his sister and her family was stressing him out and making the decision to step back from them.

When fans watched Joe make such a huge fuss about his nieces not calling him or communicating with him because he spoke badly about their father, fans sided with the girls and called him out. Many fans took to Twitter to remind Joe that he was their uncle and it was his responsibility to maintain a relationship with his nieces and not vice-versa. A fan tweeted, "“Nobody calls me!” Joe you are literally the adult in this situation…the responsibility to maintain the relationships shouldn’t be on your nieces, especially with your family history. Like, what’s not clicking? #RHONJ." Another fan wrote, "Joe you are the adult, you are the uncle. You should be the one acting like an adult, be mature and reaching out to your nieces. Ignoring it doesn’t solve problems. #RHONJ." "Joe Gorga is wrong about one thing. As the adult it is his responsibility to maintain the relationship with his nieces. Not vice versa. #RHONJ," seconded a fan.
