When we were first introduced to Melissa Gorga, the 42-year-old was a stay-at-home mom who took care of her children and husband. But after joining Bravo's hit reality show 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' on Season 4 the housewife began slowly working towards building her career.

Over the years we have seen Melissa grow as a businesswoman after she launched her boutique- ENVY by Melissa Gorga. The housewife worked very hard on growing her business and making it a huge success. While the housewife was busy chasing her dreams and passion, her husband Joe Gorga began feeling a bit neglected. The couple got into a huge fight over it on the recently aired episode of 'RHONJ'.

While Joe and Melissa were returning back home from a dinner party, the housewife walked ahead of her husband. This irked Joe to no end. He later began lashing out at her by declaring that she's prioritizing her work and career over their family and him. He even makes a bold statement of the housewife not loving him anymore, and never being at home.

Melissa got annoyed but tried to explain to Joe that although she may have changed over the years, she still loves him and cares about their family. But Joe wasn't willing to hear her out and accused his wife of turning into a totally different person after tasting some success. Melissa later confided in Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider about how she got married to Joe at a very young age. Back then she did whatever he asked her to and never questioned him. She shared how she was always at home and cooking food for him but since she began working she isn't able to give Joe as much time but she still loved him.

In his confessional, Joe explained how growing up he considered his parents' marriage as a perfect relationship and strived to achieve the same with his wife. He then revealed that his mother was always there for the family and prioritized it over everything else, which according to him Melissa wasn't doing anymore. When fans saw Joe's behavior, they began labelling him as 'jealous' and 'insecure'.

A fan tweeted, "Its sick to me that Joe doesn't want Melissa to succeed, and have a fulfilling career for herself. He wants her to stay home barefoot and pregnant, making din at the time he wants, and for her to do as he says. #RHONJ." Another fan wrote, "Joe is mourning but at the same time he’s jealous of Melissa’s career #RHONJ."

Fans also began wondering why Joe was assuming that Melissa didn't love him anymore just because she was focussing on her career. A fan shared, "I don’t understand why Joe thinks that Melissa doesn’t love him as much just because she’s having personal success? Joe is so insecure. #RHONJ." Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, "In Joe’s patriarchal brain, Melissa’s job takes precedence instead of her worshipping him and therefore no longer loves him. #RHONJ."

Fans also slammed him for being very 'controlling' and 'insecure' of his relationship with Melissa. A fan pointed, "Joe Gorga is controlling and insecure AF #RHONJ." "Wow Joe is quite the controlling chauvinistic husband. Typical Italian male. I can say that because I'm Italian and know many like him. Would never marry one let alone date one. #rhonj," commented a fan.
