‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Gina and Braunwyn's debate over public and charter schools leaves fans highly amused
Did you ever imagine watching rich white ladies arguing about whether the public schools and charter schools are same or not on a reality show, and having an emotional breakdown over it? No, well then you need to watch the latest episode of ‘RHOC’ to see this precious reality show moment that can only happen on a Real Housewives show.
In case you’re wondering how the housewives landed on the topic of schools on the juicy reality show, then here’s a quick recap for you. The housewives were out at a beautiful teahouse celebrating former OG housewife, Vicki Gunvalson’s birthday when Gina Kirschenheiter receives a call about her daughter.
Earlier on the episode, we see Gina’s daughter being recommended occupational therapy (OT) to help her with her sensory issues. After the call, Gina rejoins the party, and the other housewives check on her and ask her what’s going on. Gina explains to them about her daughter needing OT.
Fellow housewife, Braunwyn quickly chimes in and begins talking about her own children who are on the spectrum and assures Gina that her daughter will be alright. She then proceeds to confirm with Gina about her daughter attending public school. Then quickly adds that public schools are good and have the resources and facilities needed for children with special needs.
Gina gets offended and calls out Braunwyn for being “snobby”. The new housewife then begins crying and says that her older three children attended a public school. One of the housewives at the table corrects Braunwyn by telling her that her children attended a charter school which is different from public school. Soon, the table was filled with debates about whether charter school and public school were the same or not.
Fans were thoroughly amused to watch this debate amongst the housewives.
