Meghan King unhappy as 'RHOC' star and hubby Jim Edmonds settle for 50-50 custody of their three kids amid divorce
It's never a dull moment in the 'Real Housewives' world. The show thrives on gossip, judgment, snarky comments and ever-changing relationship dynamics. Not surprisingly, 'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Meghan King Edmonds is caught in a few of those, courtesy the ugly split with husband Jim Edmonds followed by the custody battle.
According to an In Touch Weekly insider, the couple is opting for 50-50 custody of the three kids they share. "Meghan didn’t want Jim to get equal/joint custody, but that’s exactly what happened. She expected him to get less because she’s been saying he can’t handle it, but he’s doing just fine,” the source dished.
This changes things. It would be interesting to see the couple work their way around the custody arrangement, given that they parted ways on an extremely bitter note. Will they be able to rise above their differences and be there for their kids? Only time will tell.
Sources confirm the couple is yet to appear before a court to settle matters at hand. Up until now, only the lawyers have met to devise a workable plan for both parties. While Meghan spends time with her little ones this thanksgiving, Jim gets to do the same next year.
So, what went wrong between the two? A lot. There's cheating, lots of it, verbal disputes, and endless misunderstandings. Jim and Meghan were married for five years before they filed for divorce last month.
The couple was already having trouble staying on the same page when Meghan decided to accuse Jim of having an affair with their nanny. While the nanny denied sharing any inappropriate relationship with Jim, Meghan slammed the claims labeling both of them as 'disgusting.' But Jim did acknowledge that his wife was hurt and seemed to be trying to extend an olive branch.
However, things went south when Jim called the cops on Meghan when she showed up drunk late at night with another man. That was the final nail on the coffin for Jim.
