'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills': Erika Jayne hits back after Lisa comments on her past as a go-go dancer
For the longest time fans have complained about Erika Girardi aka Erika Jayne not revealing enough of her personal life on the show. Girardi whose alter ego is the performer- Erika Jayne has been at the forefront since we were first introduced to this intriguing housewife in Season 6 of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’.
Although Erika revealed a lot of her childhood in Season 7, when she took a trip down to her family home in Atlanta, fans wanted to know more about this very private housewife. On the premiere episode of Season 10, the housewives take a trip to New York to support their fellow housewife Kyle Richards showcasing her designs in the ongoing New York Fashion Week.
Erika grabbed a few of the ladies aside and takes them on a trip across the city. In her green room interview, Erika reveals that she moved to NYC to pursue her dream of acting, but that was a dud. So she joined a go-go dance bar to make some money to support herself. She reveals that she worked there for a while. So, she takes the housewives to the bar which is aptly named as ‘Shakers’.
As soon as the ladies enter they are greeted to the view of girls dancing in their bathing suit on the poles. Lisa Rinna can be heard commenting “it’s like Sopranos” when she enters the bar, while a nervous Erika wonders if her fellow housewives will be “accepting or judgemental” after seeing this part of her past.
The ladies sit down and start watching the girls dance. Rinna then looks at Erika and comments that she can’t see Amelia (Rinna’s 18-year-old daughter) doing this, She again reiterates in her green room interview that she just can’t picture Erika doing it, when she was 18, considering her own daughter Amelia Gray is 18.
Erika immediately shuts down Rinna saying, she should never say “never”, and then in her confessional shaded Rinna by saying if she too grew up with wealthy parents then she wouldn’t have to work at a place like Shakers. Rinna then tries to diffused the tension by saying it’s the same thing she does on Instagram these days.
