'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Kenya Moore claims NeNe Leakes has a secret boyfriend, rep slams PR tactic
Season 12 of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' may have ended but the drama is far from over. For a very long time, people have had their doubts about NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes' marriage. For starters, Gregg is way older than NeNe and the couple has had a very hunky-dory relationship. After being married for nearly 14 years, they split up in 2011 only to remarry in 2013. Following the remarriage, the couple has been through a lot from Gregg's battle with colon cancer to him cheating on NeNe with one of her employees.
Despite everything, NeNe and Gregg decided to stay married which left many wondering if they were in an open relationship. Although the housewife has denied being in an open marriage, the rumors persisted. Finally, NeNe's fellow housewife and nemesis Kenya Moore weighed in on it. Those who watched Season 12 of 'RHOA' would remember the infamous fight the broke out between Kenya and NeNe in Athens, when Kenya refused to take NeNe's marriage advise. At that time Kenya simply stated that NeNe was in no place to give any relationship advice and also questioned NeNe's motives. Despite NeNe trying her best to convince Kenya that she only had Kenya and her husband Marc Daly's best interest in mind, Kenya refused to take the bait.
Kenya finally revealed why she was so reluctant to take NeNe's advice in an interview with Us Weekly. The former beauty queen revealed that NeNe is having an extramarital affair with a man named Rodney White. She said, "So many of us [housewives] knew that she was out with this man constantly being affectionate. And we knew what she was doing on the side.” NeNe has been linked to Rodney for years. According to reports, the housewife was spotted kissing, cuddling and getting close to him on multiple occasions.
The housewife then went on to explain why NeNe's marital advice might not be something that she would want to emulate. "For me, it’s like if you’re so comfortable being out in public with someone and kissing them and being just inappropriate — you’re a married woman — so for me, there was nothing that she could tell me about marriage because your own behavior with your own husband is not something that I would want to emulate at any point in time during my marriage," shared the housewife. Kenya also revealed that several housewives across the Real Housewives franchises are aware of NeNe's and Rodney's affair. "
NeNe's publicist has squashed Kenya's claims and issued a statement to Us Weekly saying, "It’s quite disturbing that especially during this time of so much pain that once again we have to deal with a disgruntled housewife trying to capitalize on NeNe’s name and personal life for the sake of publicity. Kenya stated herself that she and Nene have not been on speaking terms for almost two years now, so it makes no sense for her to speak with such familiarity about Nene’s personal life. And to drag her decades-long marriage, family and relationship through the mud on a consistent basis to insinuate anything about my client’s character is sad, confusing, and a despicable PR tactic that we have no interest in contributing to. We encourage Kenya to focus on her own marriage and we wish her well.”
