‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Fans slam Kandi for instigating drama between her mom and her husband
Kandi Burruss’s husband Todd Tucker didn't receive the warmest welcome from Kandi’s family or ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ fans when it was revealed that the housewife and the former production member of ‘RHOA’ are getting together. While fans have made peace with Kandi and Todd since watching the couple happy together, sadly, Kandi’s mother Mama Joyce seems to be in no mood to give her son-in-law a pass.
Over the years we saw Mama Joyce and Todd lock horns over her claiming Todd is with Kandi just for the money and fame, but the previous season saw her finally warming up to him and apologizing to him for her baseless accusations against him. Just when things seemed to be going well in Kandi’s world when it comes to Todd, Kandi reveals to her husband about the awful things her mother told her recently. Kandi reveals that Mama Joyce wants to leave her property for Kandi’s daughter Riley, because she doesn’t trust Todd to look after her. She also adds that she doesn’t want to deal with Todd if something happens to Kandi.
Todd obviously looked shocked and upset when he heard all the awful things about himself. Fans were furious with Kandi for instigating drama between her mother and her husband, by repeating the awful things about Todd to him, and getting him all riled up. A fan tweeted, “What Kandi need to do is stop runteldat between Todd & her mom. Put the houses in trusts so they don't have to deal with each other. The common denominator b/w Todd/Mama Joyce mess is Kandi. #RHOA.”
Another fan wrote, “KANDI WHY DO YOU TELL TODD EVERYTHING YOUR MOM SAYS DAMN!!! #RHOA.” Another observed: “Kandi talks too much! If you want Mama Joyce and Todd to get along you shouldn't tell him everything u and your Mom talk about. #RHOA,” while still another wrote: “Kandi be instigating some of that drama between Todd and her mom 🙄 #RHOA.”
Fans were also unhappy with Kandi for not defending or standing up for her husband while her mother spoke ill of Todd. A fan wrote, “Poor Todd I'm sorry @Kandi needs to let her mom know her place. She can do that without being disrespectful to her mom. She has crossed the line too many times and she called Todd an opportunist. I'm like Todd i think she's more worried she might not get much...smdh #rhoa.” Another fan pointed, “Ok. I'm not mad at Kandi anymore for not telling Tanya that she knew about the cookie lady. If she can't have her own husband back when her mom says horrible things, why would I expect her to have anyone else's #RHOA.” Still another fan went on to say: “Kandi is deadass wrong for letting her mom disrespect her husband. It’s your job to handle your people. #RHOA.”
