‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Eva calls the other housewives "nappy heads", and fans can't hide their outrage

RHOA fans were not happy to hear housewife, Eva Marcille refer to the other housewives on the show as "nappy heads".

Eva Marcille left fans shocked when she referred to the other housewives as “nappy heads” on the latest episode of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta', during a telephonic conversation with fellow housewife Cynthia Bailey. Now, we all know that Eva can be hot-headed and feisty, and fans usually love it, but this time around fans feel that the housewife might have gone a bit too far when she referred to the other housewives -- Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Kandi Burruss using the racist term.

Nappy heads is a derogatory and racist term used to describe black women’s hair. Several fans expressed their shock on social media to hear Eva using such language on national television. A fan wrote, “Eva really called a group of black women nappy heads on national TV #RHOA”. Another fan tweeted, “#RHOA Eva, that nappy head comment is ah NO NO!!”. “I don't watch the show but a lot of the people I follow do and I saw @evamarcille's "nappy heads" comment float immediately up the timeline. I am sure Andy Cohen of @bravotv thinks that's cute and will praise her for it, but it's most definitely not. #rhoa”, expressed a fan.

Fans couldn’t help but point out that Eva herself was sporting fake locks. A fan wrote, “@EvaMarcille really went on an internalized shit trip there. If YOUR hair ain't nappy enough to the point you're rocking  fake locks instead of your actual hair locking, you might wanna ask yourself what part of your history lead that, Sis. #RHOA”. Another fan pointed out, “Eva sitting on my tv calling these women nappy heads with fake locs in her hair.  #RHOA”.

This isn’t the first time that Eva exposed a racist side. A fan wrote, “And what’s with the “nappy head” comment by Eva? Just a bad look. Wasn’t she just calling people black last season?? Wheeew #RHOA”. Another fan shared, “First Crispy Black & now Nappy Heads yea not a fan of Eva at all & I’m glad Marlo chopped her ass up #RHOA”. “I liked Eva, but she is slowly turning into Clawdia 2.0., that one season wonder from S7. Eva's comment about the other ladies being "nappy headed" was uncalled for and we know Clawdia is colorist and thinks she is better for being mixed. No wonder they get along so well. #RHOA”, noted a fan.

Fans are tired of the housewife’s constant “colorist” remarks which are straight up offensive. A fan commented, “#RHOA I'm tired of Eva's #colorism comments... Isn't her #nappy headed baby daddy stalking HER... SHE NEEDS TO CALM DOWN.” “You didn’t have to call them nappy heads now Eva. Lordt! Here come the colorism shit again. #RHOA”, wrote another fan.

What did you think of Eva Marcille’s comments? Let us know. ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 12 airs every Sunday, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo.
