If 'Star Wars' Day had enough activity happening on May 4, fans have now officially welcomed the next day, popularly known as "Revenge of the Fifth". For those unaware, the day is when fans celebrate May 5, as 'Revenge of the Fifth', a play on 'Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith'. The Sith Lords and villainous characters from the 'Star Wars' series are celebrated rather than the Jedi on the day.

For some time now, there has been a constant debate between fans on what works better: Revenge of the Fifth or Sixth, since the latter comes closer to Sith. And this year, fans had a bit of an argument on Twitter over what fits better. "Who cares about May fourth when there's the revenge of the fifth," tweeted one of the fans. And this was followed by a fan asking, "why the f*** is it revenge of the fifth and not revenge of the sixth?"

"Doesn't revenge of the sixth makes more sense than the revenge of the fifth?" read one of the tweets. "Nah it's just Revenge of the Fifth," responded a fan. Here's one of the fans who's clear about the side he's on: "My family celebrates Revenge of the Fifth! Following May the 4th Be With You!"

'Well now it’s Revenge of the Fifth, so much more appropriate anyway," opined one of the fans. "REVENGE OF THE FIFTH MAKES NO SENSE! REVENGE OF THE SIXTH SHOULD BE WHAT IT IS! thanks for coming to my ted talk," tweeted a fan. "Just when you thought the internet was safe... Welcome to Revenge of the Fifth, where the humor is darker and snark is endless!" exclaimed another.

Here's a rather neutral wish from a fan: "Happy Sith Day".

According to Days of the Year, this concept of 'Revenge of the Fifth' wasn't really in the picture until the first trilogy of films. The site also added that the day first came to be celebrated after the first officially organized Star Wars Day in 2011 in Toronto. Such was the success of the event that fans were immediately hooked to the idea of 'Revenge of the Fifth'.

If you all want to catch up 'Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith', it is currently streaming on Disney+.
