Reunion of Joel and Tommy: Images from 'The Last of Us' Episode 6 show estranged brothers finally together

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Last of Us' is undoubtedly one of the smash hits of the year, with every episode of the series becoming an instant classic after its release. 'The Last of Us', the live adaptation of the video game of the same name, has received unequivocal praise from fans of the game and regular audience alike. The HBO original is nearing its end, and fans are not ready to say goodbye to their favorite dystopian world. HBO has now officially given a glimpse of the upcoming 6th episode by releasing some exclusive images. The images suggest estranged brothers Joel (played by Pedro Pascal) and Tommy (played by Gabriel Luna) have reunited at last.
Created by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, 'The Last of Us' is a rather faithful adaptation of the game. It stars Bella Ramsey as Ellie Williams and Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller in the lead. The cast also includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy Miller, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, and Rutina Wesley as Maria Miller. The fifth episode of 'The Last of Us' has already left the viewers in tears, with the beautifully haunting story of Henry (Lamar Johnson) and Sam (Keivonn Woodard) and the short-lived friendship between Ellie and Sam.

The reunion of Joel and Tommy
HBO has officially given a glimpse of the upcoming episode with the release of 10 images. Some of these show the reunion of the brothers Joel and Tommy, as the duo Joel and Ellie finally reach Wyoming. Joel has been searching for Tommy throughout the series and it is revealed that the brothers did not leave on good terms. According to Joel, the crack started to appear in their relationship when Tommy joined the rebel 'Fireflies' group, much to Joel's dismay. And the unpalatable things the brothers did to survive, including murdering people, did not help either. From what we can gather from these images, this reunion would not be an easy one for either, as they have to work through their differences. A couple of the other released images show Joel with a worried look on his face.
Rutina Wesley's Maria Miller
Another image shows Joel and Ellie enjoying a nice meal in what seems to be a working restaurant adorned with lights. Besides, there's an image showing Ellie and Joel sitting before a campfire in the snow while another shows Ellie in the snow. A concerned and serious look of Rutina Wesley's Maria Miller can also be seen. Maria is the leader of the Wyoming settlement. The character is also directly taken from the video game.
The first five episodes of 'The Last of Us' are streaming on HBO Max. Episode 6 is set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on February 19, 2023 at 9.00 pm ET/ 6.00 pm PT.
