Original story:
Spanish authorities are in a race against time to try and rescue a 2-year-old child fell into a narrow, 250ft deep borewell around 11 days ago.
The child Julen Rosello has been trapped in the well ever since falling in it during a picnic with his parents on their private estate located in Totalan in Southern Spain on January 13.
Since then, there have been no signs of life given the well has been blocked by a cave in. Initially, rescuers were hoping that the child may have survived in an air pocket but the chances of that are now growing very slim.
Nonetheless, the rescuers have been drilling a parallel wider shaft beside the original well, and will be drilling a final horizontal tunnel in an attempt to reach the trapped child, even as the heartbroken family prays for a miracle.
