LONDON, ENGLAND: Disney+'s 'Renegade Nell' tells the tale of a young widow named Nell Jackson (Louisa Harland), who is attempting to clear her reputation after being falsely accused of murder.
Produced by Jon Jennings and Stella Herz, 'Renegade Nell' Episode 6 titled 'Snatched by Strollers' follows Nell's mission to rescue her sister George Trotter (Florence Keen) from the grasp of theatrical performer Japhia.
However, things are not as simple as they seem, as Japhia pressures the highwaywoman into orchestrating her own death in exchange for her younger sister.
'Renegade Nell' Episode 6: Roxy Trotter joins Nell Jackson in rescuing George Trotter
In previous episodes, it's clear the three sisters share a strong bond, caring deeply for each other. But as Nell sets out to clear her name, she knows the danger her actions could bring to her sisters.
To keep them safe, she leaves George and Roxy Trotter (played by Bo Bragason) with their uncle. However, upon her return, Nell faces a horrifying reality: George has been kidnapped by a man named Japhia, who demands Nell in exchange for her sister's freedom.
Determined to rescue George, Nell pleads with Roxy to stay behind. Yet, Roxy insists on joining her, insisting they're stronger together. Moved by Roxy's loyalty, Nell allows her sister to accompany her on the rescue mission.
Japhia coerces Nell Jackson into consuming the poisonous beverage
Japhia is a bit of a dalliance, wanting to murder Nell to make his legacy as the one who murdered the most infamous highwaywoman of his era. The actor was determined to murder Nell, despite her best efforts to convince him that she had done nothing wrong.
When one of his goons bring George, Japhia threatens to hurt her with a hot iron rod if Nell doesn't take a mouthful of the poisonous drink in front of her.
Billy Blind (Nick Mohammed) uses his cleverness to swap Nell's glass with Japhia's, while Nell does her best to convince Japhia that she is innocent of any murderous intent.
However, he again convinces the lady to drink the liquid. With no way left, Nell gulps down her drink while Japhia likewise sips from his glass, ignorant that they have been exchanged.
While they are engrossed in their back and forth, Roxy hits Japhia's man with a thick stick and successfully saves George.
Meanwhile, Japhia started showing signs of poisoning, his condition deteriorating rapidly. Just as he was about to speak his final words, he collapsed to the ground, a heavy veil of darkness descending upon him.
'Renegade Nell' is now streaming on Disney+.
