WASHINGTON, DC: Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib left the Internet fuming as she maintained her silence when asked to remark on the Hamas' brutal acts on the children and women of Israel.

Nearly 900 Israelis have died while another 2,600 are gravely injured since the militant organization Hamas breached the country's defenses with a barrage of nearly 2000 missiles and sent waves of fighters across the border into the southern part, where they took over bases and seized hostages.

In a small settlement near the Gaza border, the militants allegedly killed at least 40 babies and young children, beheading some of them, and shot their families, as per the New York Post

"Babies with their heads cut off, that’s what [the soldiers] said. Gunned down. Families gunned down, completely gunned down in their beds," noted distraught i24 News correspondent Nicole Zedek during a broadcast from Kibbutz Kfar Aza.

How did Rashida Tlaib 'respond' to Hamas killing babies?

On Wednesday, October 11, Hillary Vaughn, a Fox News correspondent, approached Rashida Tlaib to get her response on Hamas militants killing defenseless infants and children in the Middle Eastern country.

Vaughn proceeded to upload a clip on her X (formerly Twitter) account where she can be heard asking, "Congresswoman, Hamas terrorists have cut off babies’ heads and burned children alive. Do you support Israel’s right to defend themselves against this brutality?"

She kept repeating her questions while Tlaib chose to remain silent as she made her way out of a passage.

"Congresswoman, do you have any comment on Hamas terrorists chopping off babies’ heads? You have nothing to say about Hamas terrorists killing babies?" repeated Vaughn, but Tlaib gave no reaction.

This comes just a few days after the Michigan representative faced criticism from fellow Democrats for labeling Israel as an "apartheid state" and calling for the US to end funding the nation amid the ongoing conflict.

"The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer. No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other," said Tlaib in her statement, according to the New York Post

She added, "As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue."

Netizens slam Rashida Tlaib for avoiding question on Hamas' horrific actions

Soon after Hillary Vaughn posted the clip on her X (formerly Twitter) profile, the Internet was quick to slam Rashida Tlaib as she avoided speaking out against Hamas' massacre of helpless infants.

A user wrote, "Rashida Tlaib won't comment or condemn these horrific acts because she's a coward!"

"They are antithetical to American values. Get rid of these people. She is evil," stated one, while another added, "It is incomprehensible that a U.S. congresswoman cannot condemn the gruesome beheading of babies."

Someone else fumed, "That wretched woman needs to be removed from office," while one expressed, "In her mind, she is gleeful. She has demonstrated this over and over. She dare not say it though."

"Unbelievable. Was a pretty easy question my 9 year old could have answered without hesitation," said another.
