Woman dismembers dead rapper husband, cleans organs in washing machine before storing them in refrigerator
The wife of a popular rap singer in Russia reportedly chopped up his body and cleaned his organs in a washing machine before sprinkling them with salt. Dismembered remains of 30-year-old Andy Cartwright were found at his apartment in St. Petersburg before his wife told authorities he had died of a "drug overdose," the Daily Mail reported.
36-year-old Marina Kukhal told investigators she didn't want his fans to know he had died such an "inglorious" death, and so she proceeded to dismember his body and stored the parts in black plastic bags and her fridge over a span of four days. Authorities revealed disturbing details like how the limbs were sawn "perfectly" and that the body parts were garnished with salt. Kukhal reportedly used a knife, hammer, hacksaw, plastic bowl and chopping board during the sickening ordeal.
What's more? It emerged that the couple's two-year-old child was living in the same flat as Kukhal chopped her husband's body into several parts. A murder probe has been opened by Russian police into the death of the popular singer, whose real name was Alexander Yushko.
The BAZA news outlet revealed further details about the case, suggesting the rapper's wife cleaned his internal organs in a washing machine after dismembering his body.
A report citing anonymous law enforcement sources said investigators had found impressions of male hands on one of the victim's forearms, as if he had been grabbed. Meanwhile, police noted how the widow had cleaned their apartment thoroughly after the horrific crimes. Friends of Yushko said he had alcohol problems, but did not have a drug addiction. There were some reports claiming Kukhal had been assisted at the apartment by her unnamed mother, who has now been ordered by authorities not to leave St Petersburg.
Irina Skurtu, Kukhal's lawyer, had reportedly urged her client to go to the police about the dismembering. She denied reports that Yushko's body parts were put in the washing machine and dispute claims that the rapper's mother-in-law had been involved. No drugs were found on the rapper's body, sources told Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda. That said, the widow has now been detained and is expected to undergo a polygraph test as part of the murder investigation. She told her husband's fans on social media that he had become addicted to hard drugs during the pandemic and that she found a syringe next to his lifeless body. Nonetheless, forensic tests are already underway to establish the official cause of death.
In May, a father-son duo in Ukraine grabbed headlines as they were jailed for 15 years for reportedly beheading a former policeman and cooking his body parts.
Maxim and Yaroslav Kostyukov, 42 and 21, were drinking with Yevgeny 'Zhenya' Petrov, 45 when an argument ensued over the conflict between Kyiv's forces and pro-Moscow rebels in the eastern part of the country. The row grew increasingly violent and the younger defendant held the victim from behind while his father stabbed Petrov.
After killing the policeman, Yaroslav severed the victim's head and cut out the flesh from the corpse along with his heart, kidneys, liver, and other internal organs. The father-son pair proceeded to cook and serve the "meat" recovered from the dead body when they hosted a homeless man called Yura at their house.
