Rapper 2 Chainz proposed to his long-time girlfriend at the Met Gala 2018 and she said yes!

What was more surprising about the proposal was that the rapper had already proposed to her back in 2013 at the BET Awards, and they already share three children together.

The Met Gala, which takes place on the first Monday of May every year, is always filled with its own set of surprises and memorable moments. The 2018 Met Gala also became a memorable event for a certain couple, since they got happily engaged to each other on the historical steps of the Met!

Rapper 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, took his long-time girlfriend Kesha Ward to the event, but she had no idea about the tremendously exciting surprise that he had planned for her. On the steps of the Met, the rapper proposed to his girlfriend, and undoubtedly she said yes.

Although the couple has been addressing each other as 'husband' and 'wife' for a long time now, it is on Monday night that the two got officially engaged to each other for the second time, and hopefully, they'll be tying the knot sometime soon in the future.

What was more surprising about the proposal was neither the proposal or the choice of venue, but the sheer fact that the rapper had already proposed to her back in 2013 at the BET Awards, and that the couple already share three children together: Heaven, Harmony, and Halo.

"They’ve been together so long and have three children together that he always refers to Kesha as his wife, but they’ve never actually tied the knot," an unnamed source explained to People about the couple.

When the rapper was asked about his decision to propose and when was the moment he actually decided to take the leap, he replied saying, “about a minute ago.” Well, we think that if we saw someone like Pope Rihanna in the flesh, as inspiration, we'd be ready to pop the question too.

Moreover, being surrounded by hordes of cameramen to take the appropriate pictures, while you're dressed in Versace Haute Couture and standing right next to Frances McDormand is definitely one of the aptest moments to go down on one knee, we believe.

Even Twitter had its own share of fun over the surprise proposal, and a lot of people flocked on to the social media site to express their views on the same.
