Rajaee Black: Man kills girlfriend, shoots ex dead on FB Live before killing himself
Warning: Videos, content can be distressing for some readers
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND: In a chilling play of events, Baltimore nurse anesthetist Rajaee Shareef Black in a fit of madness murdered his ex-girlfriend, confessed to the killing on Facebook Live and then gunned down his former wife and shot himself dead. While waiting outside the Columbia apartment building of his ex-wife, Wendy Natalie Black, the 44-year-old admitted to killing his ex-girlfriend, Tara Labang, on Saturday, December 11. On camera, he is heard saying that his ex-wife is also about to die. “I just did something crazy, man,” Black was heard in the video. “I just shot my ex-girlfriend in the head, yo. Um, felt like a dream. I never thought I would be that guy.”
Black said he was distressed over child custody issues with both the women. "Sh** has been real crazy," he adds, adding that he could not go to prison. “The person that really started my depression and all of this is my ex-wife,” Black was heard saying. “So, she next. And then I’m going to do myself, too. But I just wanted to say this to people: Don’t play with people’s emotions, man. Don’t lie on these men.” Black's ex-wife, 42, then comes to her doorway. The video cuts out after Black says, “Oh, here’s my ex-wife right now." Social media has become a hotbed of crime in the past few years, with some taking to express their criminal intent on video as well. In September, rap artist Patavious Lashun Isom, was reportedly shot at and the incident was captured on camera as he filmed himself on Facebook Live. In April, Jessica Beauvais said 'f**k the police' on Facebook Live before plowing her car into a cop.

In the case of this horrific double-murder suicide, police confirmed that Black later murdered his ex-wife, before shooting himself dead. Authorities said that the two children of the couple were found in his gray BMW outside the woman’s apartment building, safe and unhurt. "Howard County police are investigating a suspected domestic murder suicide that occurred inside a residence in the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia just after 2 p.m. Police were called to area for reports of gunshots and found two adults deceased from gunshot wounds," Howard County police said in a statement. By the time Howard County Police were notified at 2.22 pm by Baltimore City police that there was a video posted on social media that indicated the suspect intended to go to Howard County, it was too late.
"The victim in yesterday’s murder-suicide has been identified as Wendy Natalie Black, 42, of the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia. The suspect, who was the victim’s ex-husband, has been identified as Rajaee Shareef Black, 44, of the 7600 block of Ironworks Way in Hanover," the statement added. "Just after the shooting, police located the Blacks’ two young children unharmed in Rajaee Black’s car, a gray BMW X3, in the parking lot of the apartment complex where the shooting occurred. The children have been placed in a safe environment and did not witness the incident. Police are not releasing the names, genders or ages of the children for their privacy. Investigators believe Rajaee Black came to Columbia after having just committed a domestic homicide a short time earlier in Baltimore."
Black and Wendy were found dead by officers inside the vestibule of her Columbia apartment. The Baltimore Sun obtained court records that reveal that the two had been involved in a custody battle since 2018. “This is a terrible, terrible tragedy,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison told reporters near the crime scene. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of these victims.”
Wendy and Rajaee had reportedly worked as certified registered nurse anesthetists. For almost five years, Wendy had been working at Howard County General Hospital. Rajaee, on the other hand, was a nurse anesthetist at the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Officials at the hospital confirmed that Labang had also worked at Capital Region Health.
