LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: American football defensive end with the Las Vegas Raiders Chandler Jones has alleged that the Las Vegas fire department hauled him last week against his will to a mental health facility.

Josh McDaniels, the head coach, declined to discuss the "personal situation" and "private matter" and placed him on the non-football illness list last week, thereby barring him from playing indefinitely.

The 33-year-old defensive lineman with the Las Vegas Raiders has recently made an array of alarming social media tirades, many of which were directed toward the group.

Jones further claimed he was forced to lie on the floor and given an injection against his will in a disturbing social media post on Monday night, September 25.

It comes a week after Jones launched a bizarre social media tirade, accusing Raiders owner Mark Davis of hiding the name of a guy who he claims abused his goddaughter, per Daily Mail.

According to Jones, he was first taken to Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas before being moved to Seven Hills Behavioral Health Hospital in Henderson, a town roughly 15 miles to the southeast of the city.

"First day out, if my fans and friends were wondering, I was taken in by the Las Vegas fire department last week against my will," Jones wrote in an image on X with the caption, "First day out but I'm still aligned."

Jones continued, "I was injected with I don't know what. They say it was a court hold and the Las Vegas police put me on it. I hadn't done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online."

The defensive end added that he repeatedly called the team's general manager, Dave Ziegler, but got no answer.

"I called Raiders GM 6 to 7 times asking for help and wondered if he had put me in here, but he never answered. I even left him voicemails," he added.

Jones, the younger brother of UFC champion Jonathan Dwight Jones, later claimed that he had been hacked.

Given the recent post from Jones, the Las Vegas Raiders have been contacted for comment. Davis is the owner of the Raiders, and Dave Zeigler acts as the general manager.

Chandler Jones is a two-time All-American honors

Chandler James Jones, born on February 27, 1990, in Rochester, New York, has developed into one of the top defensive ends in the league.

The focus has recently switched from his on-field brilliance to his off-field conduct and disagreements as he currently plays for the Las Vegas Raiders.

At Syracuse, Jones displayed his football prowess and twice received All-American recognition. The New England Patriots chose him in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, demonstrating that his abilities weren't overlooked.

He won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding effort against Minnesota, and in 2015, he also won his first Super Bowl ring. Jones recorded one sack and three important tackles in that victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Chandler Jones' recent achievements

Jones was a Patriots player from 2012 until 2015. He stayed with the Arizona Cardinals from then on until 2021 before joining the Raiders.

He was a constant force across many seasons, but the 2022 season brought about another change as Jones gained popularity after joining the Las Vegas Raiders.

Reportedly, Jones produced some of his best performances for the Raiders in the most recent 2022 NFL season.

As per The Mirror, Jones signed a three-year, $51 million contract with the team in March 2022, and was slated to make $17 million this year.

Chandler Jones has been vocal about his disagreements with Raiders’ management

Jones' outside activities have recently drawn attention. He has been particularly outspoken on social media about his issues with the Raiders' leadership.

He often deletes his criticisms after they are posted, leaving fans and experts to speculate about the underlying issues.

The mystery around him grew given Jones' continued absence from the team, especially after he was declared out for the Raiders' season opening against the Denver Broncos.

Given the apparent tension between Jones and the team administration, this decision wasn't altogether unexpected.

Jones revealed texts he allegedly sent to McDaniels and another person in the Raiders group in which he expressed his displeasure at being rejected by the group.

In one alleged communication, he said, "It's a shame that I am a top athlete with 112 sacks in the NFL and I have to go to a local gym to workout during the season for no apparent reason. This is wild to me Josh and you know it you need to do what's right."
