Raiders star Chandler Jones arrested following bizarre social media rants
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Raiders' player Chandler Jones was arrested on Thursday, September, 28, night in Las Vegas for violating a domestic violence protective order, a day after he posted disturbing videos on social media.
In the videos, he cried and made baseless accusations against his former offensive coach, Josh McDaniels, for the death of his late teammate Aaron Hernandez, who killed himself in prison, as per New York Post.
Chandler Jones faces domestic violence charges in Las Vegas
Jones was booked on two charges of violating a domestic violence protective order by the Clark County Detention Center.

He is being held on a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2023.
Jones, a two-time All-Pro and a four-time Pro Bowler has not played a game this season for the Raiders. He is the youngest brother of UFC star Jon Jones.
Chandler Jones' disturbing video blamed former coach for Aaron Hernandez's death
On Thursday, Jones took to X and Instagram to share a 25-minute video of himself outside his Las Vegas home, claiming he was “very sane” and just wanted to play for the Raiders.
In the video, Jones made bizarre and unfounded claims about former Cardinals teammate Larry Fitzgerald, CTE, and fluoride injections.

He also blamed Raiders coach Josh McDaniels, who was his offensive coordinator when he played for the Patriots for the death of his ex-New England teammate Aaron Hernandez.
“Y’all don’t know what Josh McDaniels really did to Aaron Hernandez. … Y’all thought Aaron Hernandez killed himself in jail,” Jones said, breaking down and then cutting off the stream.

He also spoke about "Exposing" owner Mark Davis, told them not to send people to his "spot or they don't report back."

Hernandez, who was convicted of murder, took his own life in prison in 2017.
In the video, he also alleged that he was forced into a mental hospital and injected with medication he did not want to take.
Raiders speak out, NFL still silent on Chandler Jones’ situation
Jones later tweeted that he would be off social media for a while and would take down the video at noon.
The Raiders posted on X, "The Raiders are hopeful that Chandler Jones receives the care that he needs He, his family, and all those involved are in our thoughts. As this is now a legal matter, we will not be providing further comment."
The NFL has not announced any disciplinary action against him as per reports.
