With the Fab Five changing lives, Season 6 of 'Queer Eye' is sure to leave you teary-eyed. In Episode 2, titled 'Angel Gets Her Wings', the group helps 22-year-old Angel Flores find herself. Angel began transitioning at the age of 21, and although she is a weightlifting coach and a powerlifter herself, her persona inside and outside the gym are somewhat different.

Nominated by her coach Vinny and girlfriend Katia, they hope that Tan France, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness and Bobby Berk can help Angel feel confident and beautiful in the outside world, the way she does in the gym.

With a powerlifting record in the state, there is little that Angel can't do. However, she feels disconnected when it comes to her style. While most of Angel's family has accepted her, she has not spoken to her father since she told him, as he has had a hard time accepting it. This has proved to be exceptionally hard for her, seeing that she believes that her athleticism comes from him, as he always encouraged her to try different sports, which ultimately led her to powerlifting.

What did the Fab Five do for Angel?

While Bobby Berk helped Angel and Katia makeover their new apartment, he helped create a space that felt like it reflected their tastes. Antonio Porowski helped Angel reconnect with her mother, Christina, encouraging them to cook some of Angel's childhood favourites, such as lumpia. Jonathan Van Ness helped Angel with her look, allowing her to strike the right balance she was looking for.

When it came to her wardrobe, Angel spoke about how it was a source of anxiety, and she didn't know how to make her body look more feminine. That's where Tan France came in, styling her to embody the 90s grunge look that she admires while diversifying her wardrobe. Karamo Brown seemed to have the arduous task as he sat down with Jose, Angel's father, in the hope of getting them to reconnect. Angel and her father met, and it was an emotional scene.

Angel explained that she was the same person in most ways, and what she had learned from her father had not changed. Even Jose admitted that it feels like he is still talking to the child he raised. The two reconciled and Angel was glad to have her father back in her life.

Where is Angel Flores now?

By the looks of her Instagram, Angel is still with the Liberation Barbell Club. She is active on social media too and even shared a post to inform people that she, unfortunately, tested positive for Covid-19 .

She wrote -- "Short story for this week: I have COVID. It kinda sucks, but we're moving through.Longer story: Last week I got tested on Monday, after being alerted that I was second hand exposed (a friend, vaxed and boosted, was exposed, and I was exposed to them). Tuesday the test came back negative. I started getting stuffy nose and chest congestion on Christmas Eve, the same day that the cedar hit like 100% in Austin. Since I was fully vaxed and had a negative test, I assumed it was just the allergies. I woke up a little more congested, but my cedar allergy is just that bad, so again, didn't think much. I didn't have any noticeable cough or more than normal fatigue until late Christmas Day, when I hit the bed and then popped a fever. I have a scratchy throat, worse congestion, and a cough. Took a rapid test Sunday morning, came back positive, and me and @katiamarissa (also positive) spent Sunday trying our best to rest up. We're in quarantine the rest of the week." she explained.

"None of the people that I had seen in the general timeline of my infection have tested positive to my knowledge, so I truly have no clue where it came from. All I can tell y'all is that this variant is a pain in the ass and very contagious, and that I also am gonna go get boosted after I finish quarantine. For your body's sake, it's probably the best choice right now. 😞 the vaccine just isn't enough. Regardless, I'm gonna spend this week pushing out exciting content for y'all and hyping everyone for the premier of @queereye SEASON SIX THIS FRIDAY. Stay safe everyone!! Talk to y'all soon!!" she added.

'Queer Eye' Season 6 premieres on December 31st, 2021, on Netflix.
