A Queens, New York prostitute has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of Cipriani Dolci head chef Andrea Zamperoni and is also believed by police to be responsible for the deaths of two other men.

Angelina Barini, 41, was arrested on Wednesday, August 21, at the Kamway Lodge & Tavern in Elmhurst after authorities responded to Zamperoni's room in the boarding house on reports of an unconscious man. They were greeted with a "strong odor consistent with the smell of a dead body and burning incense," according to court documents obtained by the New York Post.

When Barini opened the door, law enforcement reportedly noticed "what appeared to be a garbage can with bed linens stuffed inside and what appeared to be a bare, human foot sticking out of the bed linens" in the corner of the room.

Zamperoni had overdosed inside the room after being fed deadly mixes of the synthetic opioid fentanyl, which Barini allegedly gave to him after combining the drug with meth and cocaine.

The 41-year-old initially claimed she did not do it, court documents state, and said that "her pimp made her do it." She said the pimp, whose name she did not know, would not let her call the police and that he discussed cutting up the body to hide what happened.

However, she later admitted to providing the chef with the drugs that killed him.

According to court documents and law enforcement, Barini is also responsible for the deaths of at least two other "clients" who died during alleged meetups with her in July.

Jean-Alessandro Silvero died at a Woodside motel on July 11, with a third victim, whose identity has not been revealed, also believed to have died at the hands of Barini last month.

While the toxicology report for the deaths of Silvero and the third victim is still pending, Barini is suspected of also providing them with lethal doses of fentanyl-laced drugs.

Barini is facing a charge of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute one or more substances containing fentanyl in connection to Zamperoni's death.

The 41-year-old was snapped making her first appearance in court on August 26 wearing a loose-fitting sweater and baggy grey sweatpants and only spoke to answer the judge's questions. She did not enter a plea.

Speaking after her court appearance, Norrele Silvero described her son's death at the hands of a prostitute as a "bad dream."

"It's surreal at this point," she was quoted saying. "Difficult for a mom to see this event right in front of our faces."
