The episode picks up where the last one left off, with Hae-in devastated after finding the divorce papers.
When Hae-in finds the divorce papers, she desperately pleads with Hyun-woo to deny that it was his doing. However, overwhelmed by the situation and guilt, he accepts his responsibility for even considering the divorce.

Baek Hyun-woo finds a new plan to reignite Hong Hae-in's emotions in 'Queen of Tears' Episode 7
On the other hand, the doctor delivers a harsh truth: Hae-in's recovery depends on her will to live. Without hope and the fight to survive, even the best treatments won't work.
Hyun-woo comes up with a risky plan to fuel emotions in Hae-in. He deliberately provokes Hae-in, poking her with his words and actions.
He mainly acts like he wants to get rid of her, constantly criticizing and teasing her.
Interstingly, this reignites a spark within Hae-in. Fueled by anger and a desire to fight back, she threatens a ruthless lawsuit against him.
