FLINT, MICHIGAN: A Michigan woman has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after her courtroom drama while suing a man for standing her up on a date made waves on social media.

QaShontae Short sued Richard Jordan in Flint, Michigan for $10,000, alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress in the court of Judge Herman Marable Jr. The lawsuit, which was filed back in 2020, claims that Jordan "did not show and left on her mother's birthday and her mom had just passed away," adding that he intentionally and deliberately hurt her by his actions. The court hearing, which took place on Zoom, quickly descended into chaos when Short began yelling at the judge and ignoring his questions.

Jordan was seen in a video of the trial posted online, appearing to be at home. He bemoaned that he was being sued for $10,000 because of a bad date. Meanwhile, Short appears to be attending the video conference hearing from an airport.

"To be honest with you sir, I thought this was just gonna be thrown out," Jordan told the judge with a deadpan expression. "We had a date, one date, and nothing else after that, and now I'm being sued for $10,000. I think this is a waste of your time," he added.

However, most of the video saw Short and the judge engaged in a heated argument over whether this is a criminal offense or should even be filed in district court. Judge Marable eventually takes off his large shield mask to yell at Short as she continues to shout relentlessly.

In the video, the plaintiff declared that the defendant perjured himself based on her claim that he lied about going on the date with her. However, the judge angrily explained that she doesn't have the authority to determine that. Short then asked about transferring the case to the circuit court, which Marable had recommended in the first place. She then repeatedly asked, "Are we done here?" and told the judge to "not insult her intelligence" despite her misunderstanding of the law.

Marable eventually ordered the claim to be moved to a circuit court after Short was muted and appeared to have jumped off the Zoom call. Jordan, who said little else throughout the trial, is finally seen shaking his head and burying his head in his hands.

According to the Daily Mail, Short has a history of filing frivolous lawsuits. In 2020, she reportedly filed several suits against the Flint Police Department for $300 million as well as AT&T, all of which were dismissed. Her Facebook states she has worked at FedEx, Hunting National Bank, and General Motors over the past few years and has been a widow since 2005. However, she appears to have been unemployed since June 7.

Meanwhile, her Instagram has a link to a Maxim photo shoot that has since been taken down, and her bio claimed she's living the "#celibatelife". That said, Short is now required to pay all the fees and expenses to transfer the case to the circuit court within 56 days, or else it will be ignored and eventually dismissed.
