Who are Putin's 'Angels of Death'? Female pilots of the apocalypse trained to fly nuke-laden bombers
KRASNODAR, RUSSIA: The Russian air force is now seeing the entry of a new squad of entrants in the form of Vladmir Putin's 'Angels of Deaths'. These women, freshly graduated as miltary pilots from the Serov Higher Military Aviation School, are said to be remarkably trained to boost the combat power of the Russian air force.
Notably, Putin is behind the inclusion of these female pilots who have been specially trained in using both strategic nuclear bomber planes as well as transport aircrafts, reveals an article by the Daily Mail. According to Sergei Shoigu, Putin's defence minister, the group of women are "gloriously" continuing a tradition as they were part of a parade in Krasnodar, close to Russia's border with Ukraine.

Most recently, the new pilots were seen at a parade that took place in Krasnodar during the weekend. This was after the troop had qualified from the military aviation school. The source reports defence minister Shoigu as saying, "You are a reference point and an example for those girls who will follow you." But there were others who criticized the new addition to the Russian air force. "All these girls will soon get married and go to 'serve' on maternity leave," said one.
Earlier this year, Shoigu selected one female applicant, named Anna Shcherbakova, a resident of Perm, who had first been refused. Now, she is one among the 400 pilots to graduate from the Serov Higher Military Aviation School. 16 out of 400 new pilots are female. The integration of women pilots in the Russian air force comes after Joseph Stalin allowed female pilots to operate during the Second World War. Of these, 23 women saw themselves become Heroes of the USSR. Now, as Putin reintroduces female pilots into the air force, the new graduates were seen marching during the parade in Krasnodar. They also threw petals and coins in the air.
As per the source, Colonel Oleg Pchela reportedly told the female applicants that "Girls are usually very romantic" when they sought enrollment in the five-year course in 2017. He continued, "They have good motivation that will allow them to learn how to fly our military airplanes and to perform the tasks of their commanders. It is a highly responsible job to become a military pilot. It is a hard occupation, it demands high moral values too."
