Russian President Vladimir Putin is being denounced worldwide for unleashing atrocities on Ukraine, after he launched an invasion into the country on February 23, 2022. His untethered missile strikes and threats of nuclear warfare on Ukraine have been dubbed "evil" and "ruthless" by global leaders. However, British politician Lord David Owen has a shocking theory behind Putin's increased aggression.

Owen, who is a doctor by profession and the former Foreign Secretary of the UK, thinks that Putin is taking steroids for muscle-building. He believes that the muscle-boosting drugs are responsible for his "super-aggressive" nature. "He's on a steroid and probably, maybe, a combination of both. And we ought to fess up to it, that carries with it, particularly anabolic steroids, bodybuilders, aggressiveness that comes through," Owen explained.

In a recent conversation with Times Radio, Lord Owen said that Putin's face appears more puffed up and rounded in recent times, which might be a sign of regular steroid usage. He also ruled out the idea of plastic surgery or Botox, which many people believed.

"Look at his face, see how that has changed - he now has an oval face. People who said, oh, it's plastic surgery or Botox, I don't believe that at all," Owen noted, adding, "He's on either anabolic steroids as a bodybuilder - and he's very proud of his muscles and strips to the waist and everything like that - or he's on corticosteroids. If you're on these drugs, this gives you this face."

He further warned about the prominent side effects of muscle-building steroids. "It reduces your immunity and makes you more vulnerable to Covid."

Speaking about Putin's growing aggression with age, Lord Owen pointed out, "This man has been in complete isolation, quite extraordinary, won't see anybody, stays miles away, tremendous pressures."

"I think his personality has changed, but don't believe he's mad. He's a very clever and able, and somebody who you don't want as an enemy, and he's ruthless," he added.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that the Russian President is scared of losing the war in Ukraine. Reports surfaced that he is deploying one of the deadliest weapons known to mankind and is also considering nuclear options.

The Russian strongman deployed a terrifying rocket system onto the battlefield after three days of dogged defense by Ukrainian forces. In footage verified by CNN, the Russian army was seen moving TOS-1 Buratino rockets towards the front line. Meanwhile, Putin had reportedly also ordered the military command to put nuclear deterrence forces on high alert following aggressive statements by NATO countries, according to Reuters.
