Pro-Trumpers Diamond and Silk say military must remove Joe Biden or else US will go to 'hell in a handbasket'

Prominent supporters of former president Donald Trump, Lynnette 'Diamond' Hardaway and Rochelle 'Silk' Richardson, have called on the military to remove President Joe Biden from office, citing that not doing so would ensure that the US goes to "hell in a handbasket".

The plea was made by the duo during a recent interview with David Brody on the conservative media network Real America's Voice. Pushing the false narrative propagated by Trump of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, the pair insisted that the move was necessary to "get to the bottom of" how the ex-POTUS was defeated by 74 electoral votes by Biden in the presidential race. "Let me tell you something, Biden will probably not even last four years," Diamond said while Silk could be heard uttering short exclamations in agreement, which is their signature way of commentary, in a clip uploaded by Right Wing Watch, a project of the progressive group People For the American Way.

"I wish that the military would step in and take over, because we got three people that call themselves the most powerful people that supposed to be in charge," Diamond continued. "Larry, Curly and Moe need to go somewhere and sit down, allow the military to take over from here." When Brody asked Diamond and Silk whether they believed that the military should take control of the government "from a national security standpoint," Diamond said, "From a national security standpoint and to get to the bottom of what the American people saw in the 2020 election. We cannot forget or forgive that."

"Our country is under siege," Silk added. "We see it, they know it. It's all a big fat lie. We need somebody to come in with some common sense and take over. If not, our country will be going to hell in a handbasket."

Who are Diamond and Silk?

The widely recognized pro-Trump sisters and vloggers rose to prominence during the 2016 election when they began posting social media posts and videos in support of their favorite presidential candidate. Since then they have been loyal to the former POTUS. They later appeared at multiple White House events and even spoke at some rallies featuring Trump. The former leader would point at them affectionately and even give them hugs in public, which further elevated their status as conservative voices.

They bagged spots at Fox News' streaming platform Fox Nation until April 2020, when they were fired from the network for spreading misinformation about Covid-19 pandemic. This included the false claim that the pandemic was being deliberately hyped to ruin Trump's reputation. Even after they stopped making appearances on the Fox network, Trump tweeted, saying, “But I love Diamond & Silk, and so do millions of people!” They were hired months later by Newsmax to make a show titled 'Diamond and Silk Crystal Clear'.
