LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Priscilla Presley openly discussed the challenges she faced while adapting to being married to the legendary Elvis Presley. Recalling her experiences as the wife of a global superstar who was constantly adored by female fans, she confessed to feeling nervous whenever Elvis had to venture out alone, often going as far as to accompany him herself on routine visits such as dental appointments.

Unfortunately, Priscilla's wish to be laid to rest beside her beloved husband will remain unfulfilled, due to legal disputes concerning the pair's late daughter Lisa Marie's Graceland estate. Despite receiving a significant settlement to settle the matters surrounding Lisa's trust, Priscilla's wish to be buried next to Elvis held greater significance for her than any financial compensation. "She lost out on one of her big asks [like] being buried next to 'The King,'" claimed a source.

Priscilla Presley's unwavering devotion to Elvis

Reminiscing about her years as Elvis's wife, Priscilla claimed, "My God, I had to learn everything! Women gravitated to him, so I would be nervous when he had to go places alone. I would even go with him to get his teeth cleaned! I always had an eye on him because everyone in the world was after him." Elvis's well-known temper was another aspect Priscilla had to grapple with. "If he saw somebody he didn't like on the TV, he'd get his gun out and blow it up," she said, according to People. "Then he would tell his daddy to go get another TV."

Priscilla remembers falling for the singer at the age of 14. Living in West Germany at the time, she was invited to a party at Elvis's rented house in Bad Nauheim during his US Army service. At the time, Elvis was already a superstar with hits like 'Hound Dog' and 'Don't Be Cruel'. Priscilla instantly knew she had to hold onto him. "I wanted to go places with him. I would cry if I couldn't be around him," she confessed.

'You always keep moving'

In 1963, three years after Elvis returned to the US, Priscilla's parents allowed her to move from Germany to Memphis, where Elvis had settled with his family during his teenage years. The condition was that she would reside with Elvis's father and stepmother in their home, located a mile away from the iconic Graceland mansion. Four years later, at the ages of 32 and 21, Elvis and Priscilla exchanged vows. As his wife, Priscilla recalls always being ready to greet him at the door and shower him with care.

"I was always ready to greet him at the door and pamper him," said Priscilla. "I loved taking care of Elvis very much. I loved tending to him. I loved feeding him. We would baby talk, because you have to have your own language when you have that many people around. It was a good life. It was different, but it was ours." Their bond was further solidified with the birth of their daughter, Lisa, in 1968. However, after six years of marriage, which had its fair share of turbulence, they divorced in 1973.

Priscilla went on to have a successful acting career, starring in popular shows like 'Dallas' and appearing in the 'Naked Gun' film franchise. Despite the end of her marriage to Elvis, she holds no regrets. "I truly cherish the great times. As you grow up, there are always fears and insecurities but as you get older you understand it all." Priscilla reflected. She also had a son, Navarone, 34, from her post-Elvis relationship with Marco Garibaldi. Decades after their divorce, she still abides by the advice Elvis gave her about navigating difficult times, "Keep moving. Keep moving. You always keep moving."
