Prince Harry sees Meghan's mom Doria as a mother figure, turns to her for advice: 'He is very close to her'
Prince Harry has been depending on his wife Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland for advice in the absence of Princess Diana, a source claims.
63-year-old Doria Ragland is believed to have spent a part of Meghan and Harry's 6-week break in Vancouver with the couple and their son Archie. According to the source, Harry has become extremely close to Doria who has been a 'tower of strength' for the couple over the past few months.
As reported by the Sun, "Harry obviously doesn’t have a mum whom he can turn to for advice, but he has always been incredibly close to Doria and never more so than now." The pair is reportedly constantly in touch with Doria who has been giving them advice on their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family.
The source added that both Harry and Meghan have deep-set respect for Doria and her judgment and so, have kept her up to date with all their plans. "Harry has a huge amount of respect for her and for her judgment which is why he and Meghan have both spoken to her throughout about what they planned to do," the source added.
The insider also shared that though Doria supports the couple whole-heartedly, she has told them to be very mindful of their choices as it is very likely that there is no going back. Recently, Harry has been very open and candid about talking about the grief of losing his mother in several speeches over the last few months.
On January 19, Harry had shared that he was taking a leap of faith in terms of stepping down as a senior member of the royal family but that "there really was no other option." He gave an open and honest speech about leaving behind his royal duties in order to live 'a more peaceful life' for his family.
