Football fanatic Prince George attended his first-ever Aston Villa match and was spotted punching the air as he enjoyed the team's win alongside Prince Willaim, Kate Middleton and sister Princess Charlotte.

The royal family looked extremely excited as they rooted for the Duke of Cambridge's favorite team in their match against Norwich City from the stands at the Canaries Stadium on Carrow Road on Saturday, October 5.

George had a wide smile on his face throughout the game and he also wore the Birmingham club's T-shirt. The six-year-old punched the air in joy when the team scored their first goal. This is believed to be his first football match ever.

In a video uploaded by Kensington Palace on Instagram, Prince William can be seen putting his arm around George as he cheers in excitement after the team scored a goal.

The royal family's presence didn't escape the eyes of the team as the Aston Villa took to their social media account on Twitter to reveal how delighted they were to see George support them at the game. "You know how to pick your #AVFC games, Your Royal Highness," the club's official Twitter handle tweeted.

Prince William and Kate Middleton couldn't hide their smiles as they enjoyed watching the game along with their kids.

Kate seemed joyous as she patted George trying to calm him down when the team scored another goal.

According to DailyMail, the royal family also took the time to talk to the other Aston Villa supporters during the game as they watched from the back of the stands.

George's excitement during the game also amused the other people seated around the royal family. They couldn't stop smiling each time George jumped in excitement for the team throughout the game.

Gary Lineker, a former professional footballer, tweeted saying, "Think Prince George has caught the football bug early." Prince William is also a major football fanatic and is a regular at the stands. Last season, Prince William also cheered the club as they won at Wembley.

As for George, his love for the sport is not something new as he threw a football-themed party when he turned six earlier this year at the Kensington Palace.
