Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre, who has repeatedly alleged that the Duke of York had sex with her when she was minor, has now called him an “insidious toad”. Giuffre has also suggested that the 60-year-old "did not regret his friendship" with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The comments from the accuser came following a report about the Duke of York’s latest reaction to his infamous BBC Newsnight interview, where he denied all allegations against him, while speaking about his friendship with the disgraced financier and pedophile Epstein.

The Sunday Times quoted an unnamed source close of Prince Andrew in its report claiming that the duke viewed the interview as a “source of regret”. The report further stated that the father-of-two was "also sorry about not able to appropriately or sufficiently convey his sympathy for the victims of Epstein". The Mirror reported that a source close to the duke told the newspaper that the duke "regretted the fallout over his disastrous interview" with the BBC Newsnight's Emily Maitlis.

He had described the widely-mocked interview as a "success" at the time - but is now said to have "expressed regret that he failed to apologize to Epstein's victims". The Duke has faced widespread humiliation over his response to questions about his links to disgraced Epstein.

Giuffre, who recently featured in a tell-all Netflix documentary-series, 'Filthy Rich: The Jeffry Epstein Story', seemed "not impressed" by The Sunday Times report. She took to Twitter to express her views late on Sunday, June 14, as she wrote: “Oh the gull (gall) of this toad – he regrets the BBC interview but not his ‘friendship’ with Epstein because it gave him ‘great contacts’ and much more.”

“Fingers were in a lot of pies. Just to name a few, sex trafficking ring, arms dealing with the Middle East, unexplainable money being spent on exuberant chalets, cars, protection. This man is not a prince but a facet of insidiousness who has proven to get away with it all,” Giuffre later added.

Giuffre has repeatedly alleged that she was trafficked in an under-age sex ring by Epstein, during the course of which his friend, Prince Andrew had sex with her on three different occasions, including when she was just 17, still underage under US law. However, Andrew had categorically refuted these allegations. In a "car crash" interview, he denied the accusations against him and said he had never even met Giuffre. “I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever,” the duke had stated.

In another tweet, Giuffre, who now lives in Cairns, Australia, with her husband and three children, referred to the protests going on in the US and also around the world against racism. She asked in her post: “While we are all outraged about racism this week can someone please explain why NO ONE seems to be outraged at Epstein and all his known contacts? Where are the protests demanding the wealthy stop hiding their criminal lives behind their wealth? Privilege is more than skin deep.”

Meanwhile, in an earlier tweet, the American-born activist revealed that she was in the hospital with bacterial meningitis, a potentially serious condition that required her to have a spinal tap procedure. “Back in the hospital - again. This time bacterial meningitis. I went to the rainforest for the weekend with the fam and came back with something from the jungle. Day 3 - just had to get a spinal tap - talk about pain! Pls send me some love vibes from all my friends on Twitter,” Giuffre wrote on June 12. She later added, “Honestly I think my immune system is having the shits with so much going on and add some stress into that. Just scary - meningitis!!”
