It seems like the Queen no longer has control of her family who has recently been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

According to BBC's royal correspondent, Nicholas Witchell, the Queen no longer has "strong central control" in the royal family. He shared how the Queen's advisers were not consulted about Prince Andrew's recent BBC interview where he spoke of his relationship with late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

"The Queen was informed but she is 93 years old now, and she is not exercising the strong control she had, if she ever did," Witchell shared. We have had two episodes within just a couple of months, of senior members of the royal family doing it their way. We had Prince Harry with his rant against the tabloid media, which was absolutely against the advice of his communications officials who were in despair over it".

"We have a similar situation now. The mainstream advisers of the Queen at the Palace were not a part of this Prince Andrew debate," Witchell continued. Witchell also claimed that the Queen would have asked Andrew "are you sure" if he had told her about his interview plans. As reported by Express, a former Buckingham press officer Dickie Arbiter had called Prince Andrew's interview 'excruciating'.

There is a question of whether the Duke of York had received his mother, the Queen's permission to go ahead with the interview. Sources had shared that even though the Queen was 'aware' of his interview, she had not approved it. As a result of growing pressure on the Duke to explain his friendship with pedophile Epstein who was arrested on sex trafficking charges in July.

Epstein took his own life while he was in prison in August. One of Epstein's victims, Virginia Roberts, claimed that she was forced into having sex with Prince Andrew three times when she was 17 years old. The Prince has refuted all the claims and allegations made by Roberts.
