Trump replaces Obama-era White House golf simulator with flashy new one worth $50k
President Donald Trump, a known golf enthusiast and a frequent critic of his predecessor Barack Obama's golfing habit, has reportedly installed a $50,000 “golf simulator” the size of an entire room at the White House.
The Washington Post on Wednesday reported that the game is actually an upgrade of a previous system which was put in by Obama. Trump's new system was described by the outlet as "allow[ing] him to play virtual rounds at courses all over the world by hitting a ball into a large video screen.”
A Trump administration official, on conditions of anonymity, told the Post that the president personally paid for the golf simulator, however, he hasn't used it yet. Reports state that the system was installed in the White House's personal quarters in recent weeks.
