Bye bye Bill Barr? Internet not surprised embattled Attorney General is on President's 'sh*t list'

On Wednesday, October 14, President Donald Trump revealed that he is "not happy" with Attorney General Bill Barr after the Justice Department's probe into the previous administration found no wrongdoing and quietly concluded with no criminal charges. Trump made the comments during an interview with Newsmax TV in which he also declined to say whether he would keep Barr on as attorney general for a potential second term. “Can’t comment on that, it’s too early. I’m not happy, with all of the evidence I had, I can tell you that. I am not happy," Trump said in the interview.

Recently, news emerged that the Justice Department concluded a probe commissioned by Barr into the Obama-era “unmasking” of individuals named in national security documents related to the Russian investigation, a practice Trump and other conservatives claimed was a political conspiracy. Unmasking refers to the naming of U.S. citizens whose identities were blacked out in reports from the National Security Agency that captured their communications with a foreign national. However, the Justice Department found no evidence of wrongdoing and declined to release its report publicly or file any charges. The Washington Post was first to report the news. 

As soon as the news of Trump's doubts related to Barr came in limelight, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user said, "Obama was just exonerated by Bill Barr and your department of justice for the unmasking hoax you tried to pin on him. You do nothing but fail fail fail." While one angry Internet user wrote, "‘I’m not happy!’ Trump starts to turn on Bill Barr after his Russiagate probes repeatedly flop #SmartNews When you make shit up out of whole cloth, that tends to happen. ⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩ will be in prison soon enough!"

One requested "impeach Barr" and wrote, "U have just been corrupt... Only recently a politician. Ur a wicked man. Pride yourself on it! Even Bill No- Barr-Low Enuf found nothing! I want my tax money back for your frivolous law suits using OUR DOJ. Impeach Barr!" Another one slammed Barr and Trump and wrote, "Even your lapdog Bill Barr couldn't find any actual evidence to support your lies. At 12:00 noon on Jan 20th, I'm going to unfollow you with a celebratory glass of champagne, and change websites every time you appear. I won't be alone."

While one explained the situation and wrote, "Except this is exactly why Trump’s pissed at Bill Barr now because there’s NO case NO indictments coming since no 1 in the Obama Admin did anything illegal! Sorry to disappoint everyone who bought into the rightwing media disinformation & thought Obama, Biden HRC did anything wrong."
