Fans start online 'prayer chains' for Trump and Melania's speedy recovery after Covid-19 diagnoses
Social media users and well-wishers of Donald Trump have started a 'prayer chain' for him and his wife Melania post them testing positive for coronavirus. Trump had taken to Twitter to announce the news that he and Melania had contracted COVID-19. His tweet had read, "Tonight, FLOTUS, and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!"
As per a White House physician, Trump was experiencing fatigue and had mild symptoms of Covid-19. The White House revealed that Trump had been taken to Walter Reed Military Medical Center unannounced on early Friday, October 2, "out of an abundance of caution".
Many social media users have taken to various platforms to express their concern for Trump's health and have started a 'prayer chain'. One such Facebook page titled '24 Hour Prayer Chain For America/ Trump' read, "Precious Heavenly Father, We come to you today to pray for our President."
"We pray you give him wisdom as Solomon had to know the correct way to resolve disputes and problems. Give him ability to be creative beyond his own capabilities to create ideas and plans to smash the schemes of the enemies that come against him and our nation. Your Word promises that no weapon formed against us will prosper and every tongue that speaks as against us we shall condemn for this is our heritage," the page read.
"I pray honor will come where it is due to President Trump and First Lady Melania. God we ask that you Grant this in the Name above all Names. That at the Name of Jesus, every knee will bow that has tried to rise up against Your Kingdom and every tongue confess that You are Lord over ALL. BLESSED be your Name Jesus in all the Earth. We give you praise, glory and honor to You and You alone. Amen," the page continued.
Others had taken to social media platforms such as Twitter to offer their prayers for Trump's recovery. One such user had shared, "I believe in the power of prayer. Let's get a #PrayerChain trending for @realDonaldTrump and his beautiful wife, @FLOTUS. Will you pray for them with me? RE-TWEET."
Another Twitter user had commented and shared, "Mr. President I have a prayer chain going for you and everybody on my Facebook is doing the same we are praying very hard for your full recovery and you will be our next president 100% God bless you and may God be with you in this trying time and I know he will heal you."
