'Power Book II: Ghost' Episode 10: Tariq shoots 'dirty mack' Jabari, fans cheer as professor has a miserable death

Tariq kills Jabari in the finale of 'Power Book II: Ghost' but does this mean the book he was writting will never appear?

Curiosity killed the cat. The cat's Jabari.

If Jabari had minded his own business, he would still be alive. In the finale of 'Power Book II: Ghost', Jabari, who has been suspicious of Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) and his murky dealings with the Tejada family, interrogates him and then gets shot. Fans aren't really shedding too many tears over it, considering that they couldn't have cared less about him in the beginning itself, and always found his sexual endeavors an unecessary digression from the actual storyline. Jabari has been following Tariq and trying to piece information together about him. He tells Tariq what he knows, and even lets him know that he wants to write a book on him.

And that's how you end up dead. Tariq becomes his father in the finale of 'Power Book II: Ghost', and kills Jabari.

"Tommy comes back, Cane forever moving bodies, Brayden losing trust in Tariq, Saxe finally accepting that he is a really good lawyer but horrible prosecutor, Tariq accepting that he is a killer and Jabari finally dying a miserable death. #PowerGhost #PowerBookII #PowerTV," a fan tweeted. Another wrote that killing Jabari was that the only thing Tariq got right in this season. "The only thing Tariq did right this season was shoot that dirty mack professor Jabari! #PowerGhost," one tweeted.

Fans believe that Jabari got what he deserved. "Jabari wasn’t doing s**t but f***ing students and plagiarizing anyways pack him up #PowerGhost #PowerBookIIGhost," one tweeted. "Dont see Tommy coming back for season 2. They have to focus on Jabari death. Monet new connect and ramirez death. I believe Jabari book will surface #PowerGhost #PowerTV," one fan wrote.

It was an exciting finale for 'Power Book II: Ghost', as Tommy Egan returned with full swag and almost pulled the gun on Monet and Tasha, but Tariq saved them both. Tariq has established himself as Tejada blood and has earned Cain's respect by killing Jabari. It remains to be seen what happens in the second season of the show.

'Power Book II: Ghost' airs on StarZ on Sundays at 8 pm.
