Porn website CamSoda offers free camgirl sessions to passengers quarantined on Diamond Princess
Passengers aboard a quarantined ship currently being screened for the coronavirus have been offered a rather unusual cure for their boredom — free camgirl sessions by a porn website.
Nearly 3,700 people aboard the Diamond Princess — which is currently docked in Japan — are suffering from cabin fever, the New York Post reports.
Now, adult site CamSoda has given them access to its models in a bid to cure their boredom—a move some may interpret as pure marketing genius.
“They are not only dealing with the fear of infection, which is terrifying but boredom as well,” CamSoda VP Daryn Parker said in a news release. “We like cruises just as much as the next guy, but without activities or human interaction, the boredom must be crippling."
“In an effort to keep their minds off of the coronavirus and to help with the boredom, we’re offering passengers and crews the ability to have fun in a safe and controlled environment with camming,” Parker added.
That said, the same offer was extended to those stranded aboard the World Dream due to similar reasons. However, everyone onboard tested negative for the deadly virus and were allowed to disembark after a four-day quarantine in Hong Kong.
Those aboard the Diamond Princess can redeem 1,000 free tokens by sending a copy of their ticket or staff credentials to stranded@camsoda.com.
According to the company, the tokens are the “currency of the cam world” and can be used for video and instant messaging during cam sessions.
“Sessions can be sexual and sensual in nature, but don’t have to be,” CamSoda noted.
At least two dozen Americans are those infected with coronavirus on Diamond Princess. The cruise was quarantined after a Hong Kong man on the vessel tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.
According to CNN, the number of confirmed cases on the ship nearly doubled on Monday — going from 70 to 135 within a span of hours.
CamSoda has been on a PR roll amid the coronavirus crisis. As reported by the Miami New Times, they recently offered the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs free webcams while they were away from home for Super Bowl LIV. “The offer isn’t a gateway to porn … it’s a security measure to ward off potential thieves,” Parker asserted, saying the players could live stream the feed from their homes.
The adult site also made headlines earlier this year after they offered a $1 million endorsement deal to Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew so he would lead weekly fitness classes in the nude or in a jockstrap.
