Ron Jeremy charged with sexually assaulting 4 women, angry Internet calls him ‘Donald Trump of porn stars’
Adult film star Ron Jeremy has been charged with sexually assaulting four women in West Hollywood from 2014 to 2019. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged Jeremy with eight counts, including forcible rape, forcible penetration, and forcible oral copulation. According to prosecutors, he may face up to 90 years of prison.
The 67-year-old was taken into custody following his initial court appearance and is being held on $6.6 million bail. Reports say he has been charged with forcibly raping three women and sexually assaulting another in separate incidents dating back to 2014.
No sooner did the news circulate on social media, many more allegations surfaced on Twitter. "In 2017, I spoke with more than a dozen women who accused Ron Jeremy of sexual misconduct. He referred to the allegations as 'pure lies or buyers remorse'. Today he was charged with the sexual assault of four women," one said and another posted, "So I don't position my experience as negative, but I've met Ron Jeremy several times and each time he was fairly sexually aggressive. My first run-in with him, he grabbed my hand and placed it on his penis. I laughed because I was star-struck, to some degree, but it wasn't okay."
With the growing fury and rage on the Internet, many soon started comparing him to US President Donald Trump. "Ron Jeremy was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting 21 fewer women than Trump," one said and another posted, "The only difference between Ron Jeremy and Donald Trump is about 11 inches." One even went on to say, "Donald Trump is the Ron Jeremy of Jeffrey Epsteins."
The comparisons with Trump didn't end there. "Ron Jeremy is now just one more person who is being held to a higher standard than Donald Trump," one said and another posted, "Wasn’t Ron Jeremy best man at one of @realDonaldTrump’s weddings like Epstein was!?!" One said, "Ron Jeremy is now the Donald Trump of porn stars."
Several people asked when will Trump be arrested for his sexual assault allegations. "Ron Jeremy was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting 4 women. @realDonaldTrump has sexually assaulted 25 women, but the actual number may be far higher. When is he going to be arrested?" Another said, "Everyone is talking about Ron Jeremy but what about Donald Trump’s sexual assaults? Is he ever gonna rot in prison???" Another Twitter user asked, "Well let me ask you a question. If you could put only one person in jail between Ron Jeremy and Donald Trump who would you pick?"
