Japanese-American porn star Asa Akira, who has around 1.9million followers on Instagram, is the latest to help hospitals amid the deadly coronavirus pandemic. The adult film actress said she is now looking to donate her money to help hospitals in NYC.

Akira, whose net worth is reportedly about $3 million, took to her Instagram page, saying, "Things I wish I could Instagram – part of my PornHub income this month will be donated to NYC hospitals. As an incentive to help, right now if you join, I’ll send you a personalized thank you video," she added.

The first part of her caption refers to the collage of pictures in the post which features the star performing a striptease while adhering to Instagram's nudity guidelines. 

She is initially seen sporting a white linen shirt and winds up sporting a saucy purple lingeries set which shows off her boobs. She sent her fans and followers into a frenzy with her post and many took to commenting on the same. 

One such user shared, "The definition of sexy hot," while another added, "Not all hero’s wear capes 💯." Many people called her an angel and appreciated her racy gesture. Asa Akira is also an adult film director has appeared in around 500 porn films. 

In 2013, she had become the second Asian person to win the AVN Female Performer of the Year Award. In another post, Akira asked her fans for some more suggestions and ideas as to how she could help people in NYC amid the COVID-19 outbreak. 

She shared, "Has anyone seen, or practiced, anyways of showing delivery people extra appreciation at this time – while in a city? I’m watching people on the internet leave toilet paper and other essentials for these crucial workers who are risking their own health (and that of their families) for the rest of us and I would love to do something similar." 

"But, I live in a place where if I left something on my stoop it would likely get taken by someone else first. Looking for ideas if you have any? she asked her social media following. 

Many left suggestions for her. One fan shared, "I gave my postal worker a reusable mask with the pocket for a filter and hand sanitizer. I left it in my mailbox in a ziplock bag and the next day he almost cried."

Another wrote, "As a delivery worker I would love more masks, maybe something that looks less imposing." 

A third user who happens to be a UPS (United Parcel Service) driver added, "Leave thank you notes, or gift cards, at the door and we pick them up as we deliver."

This is not the first time a porn star has donated for a global cause. Adult actress Riley Reid, who has over 2.3 million Instagram followers, had helped raise money for all affected by the Austrlain bushfire late last year with the help of her social media followers. Reid sent a tweet out, stating that she would send nudes provided the person had donated to the Australia Emergency Fund.
